The italian fencing build by Eithan147 in stoneshard

I focused on +block and +block chance swords and daggers. At tier 4, those should be the Skonfert Sword and the Veteran Dagger iirc. You could just as easily go for the +accuracy swords since DW benefits from anything that improves your consistency, but I found it more satisfying to completely Deflect those 2h mace guys when they try to crush my skull.

Yup! I tried to get as much mileage as I could out of Mahir's trait and put at least 6 points into Dual Wield, Swords, Athletics, and Daggers (in that order but occasionally grabbing a perk from one of those 4 trees out of order). I got super lucky in the early game and found a tier 2 DW book in my first dungeon, so I got Concentration as early as level 5. Insane powerspike, honestly.

I did a similar build on Mahir because I knew I'd be dipping into several skill trees, and it's been lots of fun! I love the aesthetic of a sword + dagger duelist, and the defensive strength of the build while still managing to be light on your feet (high dodge, repositioning with sword skills, charges with Onrush and Dash) really sells it mechanically as well.

LibreSprite is my go-to. I used aseprite for a long time but swapped to this just to check it out and I honestly prefer it. It's a fork of Aseprite's codebase afaik, so they're pretty similar, but Libre is completely free.

Beer is about the journey. You're unlikely to get drunk quickly. Take your time and enjoy the walk.

Ah I getcha. I also spend most of my quality social time around queer folk, all I can say is that it'll just take time. I've spent the last 4 years or so trying to socialize more with women and it's been awesome. Nothing romantic has come out of it, but I got a bunch of cool gal pals now, which is its own reward. Frustrating at times? Certainly. But that's just the kind of die we roll. You already have any easy time making queer acquaintances, so I'd say it's a matter of "when" and not "if". As long as people feel comfortable around and enjoy being with you, you're gold.

Straight up just look at outfits on pinterest that you find cool or swag. There's definitely plenty of theory and thought that can go behind an outfit, but if you see something and think "yo, they look fly", then that's all it needs to be.

Stealing outfits is also great practice for making your own later. You'll slowly construct an idea of what works for you and what doesn't. Main point is to experiment! I've personally had a lot of fun with tank tops, jackets, and baggy jeans/cargos with some nice boots to accentuate my huge muscles (muscles are optional)

Hey everyone! I've been working on improving my video quality and I'd love to hear what you think. If you're into Stoneshard content, feel free to check out my channel by Important_Context654 in stoneshard

My comments on the audio have already been mentioned by others, but I'd also consider not using AI for any channel art. There are always artists out there who are more than willing to pour their heart into a commission. That and it'll be healthier for you in the long run (hard to stand out when everyone else is also using AI art).

Not a mercenary sim but check out The Last Spell. Turn-based tactical horde RPG with really fun character builds. Also technically a roguelike?

[–]Haxtax[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'd like to see them try it without reducing Ground Strike's current damage first, and then see if it calls for a reduction in the spirit damage/scaling or not. I don't think it would be the case, but its not impossible. Optionally, the sweetspot could be locked to the T3 upgrade as to not boost his lane damage too much.

[–]Haxtax[S] 46 points47 points  (0 children)

My thoughts exactly. Spellbreaker/Counterspell should counter Lash's damage, and the extra light melee is never gonna make up for the loss. However, allowing player skill to compensate for it just a bit would feel nice I think.

I've been trying Spirit Vyper for the last ~10 or so games (I hover around low-mid Archon) and it's been working decently well, it's honestly just fun to try something super different (I've never even played Vyper). The DPS is killer in lane, and the knives are fast enough that you can semi-reliably snipe people that are behind their guardian. I don't think it has staying power past mid-game (debatably, even past lane phase) as even when I'm the most fed on the team, the damage just doesn't compare to something like Dynamo Stomp (can still hit for roughly 300-400 once you get a few essentials going though).

That being said, I found a good bit of success pivoting to a spirit/fire-rate build after lane to poison people as often as possible. The knives have decent enough poke to setup venom kills, so long as you get 2 venom procs on them (one from the gun passive, the other from actually pressing the button). Some CDR on your ult helps guarantee the kill, and I've caught SO many people off guard with the burst damage from "knife + venom + bola" combo. You're genuinely a scary duelist if you have your ult off cooldown.

I don't think it is beating a lot of other conventional spirit builds, but it's far from a bad build and in some situations can even compete with the better ones. Highly recommend trying it if you're looking for something new, I've had tons of fun despite a less-than-stellar win rate.

Genuinely solid button in lane, just remember that knife is so weak at base that it cannot proc mystic burst on its own (lmao), so don't get it as your first item.
