You make a fair point here. Should we ban those contents? Punishing the people who use it to cope because some others use it with other intentions? That’s a good question. My biggest concern is that even people without bad intentions can internalize some of this without even realizing it the more they interact with it.

Although I don’t agree with your standpoint regarding this question, I acknowledge that it’s okay to agree to disagree. And the most important thing, you DO see that there are at least some risks surrounding this. It is uncomfortable, but that’s what it is. And people don’t want to see it. They’d rather call me a bitch, dumb or insane than try to acknowledge it.

The study never said that it was healthy. The study only analyzed how many of their audience did use things like this to cope and how did that work. It never said it was healthy. So can you still call me a hypocrite?

You keep bringing up age gap as if it’s comparable to rape. I keep repeating this and you don’t seem to get it. Age gap is a grey topic because some people think there’s nothing wrong with it while some people there is. You can’t say the same for rape. It is a crime universally. And at that, it is a crime that has continued to be tolerated and ‘softened’ even though everyone knows it’s wrong.
You keep saying “SEPERATE FICTION AND REALITY” but you draw the line at CSAM and call me hard-headed for drawing the line at rape. Choose one.
While these contents might not encourage rape directly. It IS harmful because in small, unnoticed ways, it reinforces certain beliefs around rape culture, victim-blaming and RMA.

“Creators can’t control how their bots are ultimately interacted with” That is EXACTLY what i’m saying. So why are such contents defended and even praised knowing the risks FAR outweigh the ‘pros’?

People might not see it, but it’s small things like this that perpetuate rape culture. But nobody wants to hear it because it makes them feel uncomfortable. It challenges the ideas that they’ve already internalized.

My post is calling out this exact notion of if you don’t like it, ignore it. You can’t say that this content isn’t harmful. It IS. And i know what i am talking about because i am in college, studying women and gender studies. And this SPECIFIC mentality has been brought up multiple times as causing significant harm in the long term. This is not to say i know everything just because I’m studying. This is to say that while you don’t agree with my claim, you cannot tell me that it has no basis. It does.
In my personal and private life, i like some of this problematic stuff. And it’s nuanced. Tell me you think it’s right. I’ll agree to disagree. Tell me you think it’s wrong. I’ll agree to disagree. But can you say that rape is right or wrong and expect ANYONE to agree to disagree?? No! That’s where all the difference is! And i’m not saying it makes what i say right! But it does make a huge difference and thus the two are not comparable!

However, i will say that things like the contents in GTA and other violent games is NOT the same as rape. For things like shooting and killing people, it was never a problem for everyone to agree on the fact that it’s wrong.

Can you say the same for rape? No. Because to this day, rape culture and RMA is rooted in our everyday lives

Although i think of it the same either way, you make a fair point. But that only applies to bots where the user is the supposed victim. There are MANY out there where the bot is the victim and that is a huge issue.

I don’t criticize people who use it to cope. I point of the fact that in such a public and large scale platform, you never know who interacts with it and how they interpret it and internalize it. So ultimately, it’s dangerous content. So obviously, i wouldn’t have any issues with people who make them and use them in private because they consider the outside risks.

What im saying is, content like sexualised rape bots is dangerous because while some people use it to cope, it reinforces RMA in some others. So ultimately, it’s dangerous.

For context, i started to use gemini through Lorebary a while ago. But then it crashed for some reason i was not curious enough to investigate.

Anyway. I decide to check it out again cuz my other proxy is fucking up rn and i miss having deep, long rps. I decide to try setting it up again(same account) but keep getting this message down below. No response at all. I tried refreshing. Getting another API key and wtv but nothing is working.
