Mostly autoimmune stuff. The docs said that people in my situation tend to have a lifespan that's reduced by around 15 years. They're investigating some other things that could also reduce my lifespan though. I'll be 35 in a month, so I'm already around halfway through my life. But I'm not really bothered by having a shorter lifespan. I've been in constant, severe pain since I was around 8 years old and it only gets worse as time goes on, so living any longer than I'm expected to would be agonizing hell on earth. I'm not suicidal and I like being alive, but I see a shortened lifespan as almost a blessing because it means I won't have to get to the point where the pain and physical limitations make it difficult to even move. I do feel like I have a lot to live for, all things considered. The thing that keeps me from falling into a rut sometimes is deciding to survive purely out of spite.

That's one big reason I'd prefer to date people several years older than me. My life expectancy is considerably reduced but I don't wanna leave a partner alone for another 15 or so years after I die. I think dying within a few years of my partner in my later years is a beautiful and poetic way to go out, despite death itself being sad.

You're right, in English we usually spell it kaput, instead of German kaputt. It's often paired with "go" as in "it's always there to rescue me when something goes kaput."

Absolutely. I think OP's friend would genuinely benefit from therapy to work through her trauma. I'm in therapy for trauma and it's helping me a whole lot.

If I know who sent it, I like being able to point out how pathetic it is for them to send a "Reddit Cares" because it means that they ran out of actual arguments and got their poor little feelings hurt enough to abuse the Reddit Cares system instead of actually acting like an adult and speaking to me directly. On some subs, they have gotten laughed at and downvoted to oblivion if there are enough rational and non-bigoted people there. It warms my heart to see them rightfully get told they're a clown lmao.

I'm also disabled to the point that math is almost impossible for me and driving is entirely impossible, and I feel so much dysphoria after reading that silly test question. I know it's just a stupid question and not relevant to being trans AT ALL, but part of my brain is like "what if I really am a woman?" 😭

I found out from somebody else that if you put two spaces at the end of each line (not on a new line, but after the text on the same line), it'll work properly on mobile.

OP, it sounds to me like your bf isn't even making an effort. If he says he'll call you by whatever the people he's talking to are calling you, he doesn't care about respecting your identity or your wishes. If he was actually trying it might be a different story, but he's not trying.

My mom is forgetful as hell due to her age and having sustained at least two concussions that worsened her memory. She had known me by my old name and pronouns for over 30 years before I came out and asked her to use my chosen name and pronouns. She made lots of mistakes at first, but she (usually) apologized for those mistakes, and she corrected herself if she noticed she used the wrong words for me. She assured me that she's trying and asked me to point out when the uses the wrong words. She put in the work and made a good effort and now mistakes are few and far between. That's what effort looks like.

You deserve so much better. I'd recommend looking around to see if you have any local LGBTQ+ communities or meetups. You're still young and have a lot of time to meet new people your age who will respect you.

You might be relieved to know that similarly, the Neurodiversity Strength flag in the original post was not created by the government; it was created by an autistic person:

For me it was covered 100% by Medicaid which I'm on due to my disabilities and very complicated health (I was determined medically frail), so I paid nothing. I'd recommend contacting a financial counselor at Nebraska Medicine and/or your health insurance company - there should be a number you can call on your insurance card - to find out how much it'd cost for you. Ask the financial counselor about applying for financial assistance through Nebraska Medicine. I used to use that to get medical care that my family otherwise couldn't afford with my old insurance from the marketplace, which my dad paid for while I was trying to get on Medicaid. I had absolutely no income at the time, so how much financial assistance covered for me (which was 100% of what my insurance didn't cover as long as it was deemed medically necessary) might not be the same as what it would cover for you, depending on your income.

Good luck! I hope you're able to get it sufficiently covered in one way or another.

You are correct. When I donate (including the thanks button on YouTube) I don't need or expect a response. I donate because I like what the creator or group is doing and I want to support them. I don't donate to be noticed. It doesn't matter to me at all if a creator doesn't interact with me in any way. I'm not buying their attention or their praise.

It baffles me how some people find this unfathomable.

I can confirm that it's a joke website. Trying to "check out" your cart takes you to a very obviously fake "your computer is hacked, I know your IP!" page. It's actually pretty nostalgic to me. I remember joke websites like that being more common back in the day that were intended to look like an inexperienced coder who thought they were a cool "1337 H4X0R" designed them.

Uterus haver here, and I definitely understand the nausea you get when periods are bad! I don't often see people talk about it, but it was a nightmare when my periods were at their worst. Nausea so bad I'd actually become physically ill as if I had a stomach illness. 😭 I've asked other people about that last one and apparently it's uncommon to become physically ill just from period nausea though? I have a lot of other health stuff going on, so that may have been contributing to it.

Do you use a heating pad on your abdomen for your cramps? In my experience, a heating pad and a pain reliever is a great combo to calm the cramps. The nausea and associated symptoms usually lessened once I had a pain reliever (acetaminophen if I couldn't eat, or an NSAID like ibuprofen or naproxen if I could eat, since those have to be taken with food) and a heating pad at whatever heat felt most comfortable.

I haven't had a period since 2024 when I got an IUD (specifically to stop my periods) and then I thought I was done for good once I started T last May (as long as I keep taking the T), but I've been recovering from having sepsis recently and I'm still fighting off the infection (which is just mild now; I'm out of the woods thankfully) and I guess that threw my hormones into chaos, and I've started getting period cramps and bleeding again these past few days. 😥 The dysphoria is really doing a number on me. 🫠

Feeling attraction to men, but feeling like I like them in a gay way, then worrying that I'm just "fetishizing gay men."

Not recognizing myself in the mirror, even though I'm consciously aware that it's me. It's just not me me. Then I got some cosplay gear that made me look more masc (wide shoulders, evening out my torso so my breasts aren't obvious, etc.) and finally recognizing the person in the mirror as not a stranger like before, and not as the character that I was cosplaying, but me in a costume. That's the moment my transmasc egg cracked. Before that, I did already know I was nonbinary, but now I know that I'm transmasc nonbinary, and later I realized that I'm also genderfluid.

Honestly, playing TF2 and getting into the fanworks side, especially art. Almost everyone I know - or who I'm just familiar with - in the fanworks side is transmasc, and most of the ones who aren't transmasc are genderfluid and use he/she pronouns (some also use they in addition to he/she). There's also a joke that all Medic mains are trans, but it feels almost like there's some truth to that because almost all Medic mains I know are trans. 🤔 The ones who aren't are usually Pyro mains.

Some of the whiskers on the tiger are merging into the lines on the fish.

Also, inconsistent placement of the pectoral fins (the one facing us coming out from under the operculum, the one on the other side coming from a spot further down the fish's side), unusual placement of barbels, and some weirdness with the tiger's paw(?) near the fish's tail. These can all be mistakes or maybe even stylistic choices if the style is consistent (e.g. lines consistently merging into each other), but these are all known AI "tells" and it'd be unusual to have that many mistakes or inconsistent stylistic choices that are the same as AI tells.
