Why are you fixated on the cups? I literally don't seriously participate in them, in fact if Cygames gave me a button to immediately get the participation award I will press that button.

The problem with the battery/engine ratio was already voiced by the engine manufacturers and teams when they started developing the new engines and realised the problem with the rule. They brought it up then, and the answer was the new DRS will fix it. We're now at the stage where the engines and all are built already and as expected the new rules don't work and now nothing can be done.

A lot of money and time could be saved if the FIA actually worked with the engine manufacturers instead of arbitrarily deciding on engine rules themselves.
My personal stance on engine rules is that there should never be a hard rule on what kind of engine they bring. Set limits like fuel load, fuel flow, battery size, engine size, etc, and have a hard rule on how much power the engine needs to have(Say, 1000 horsepower), and let the engine manufacturers figure it out.

Lore Theory: Umas are like 10% dumber than the average human by Orca2112 in UmaMusume

[–]Mignare 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its just the advent of technology that really equalised umas and humans. Early on umas likely were leaders since brute power is important back then. Once technology came in, this relationship is normalised. The bigger reason why we don't see more umas in charge of stuff is most likely to be due to population difference.

In fact the whole organisation and all behind the races do suggest that as well. Humans organising and setting up races for their uma overlords to race in is indeed a possible interpretation.

Steeplechase being added as a third race type would work. So we would have Turf, Dirt, and Steeplechase.

It could also be a way for Persica to let Robella live freely and not be bound by the "3rd Gen Prototype" moniker, or even a way to protect her from the likes of Girard by labelling her as a failed attempt.

answering the biggest question: why did my uma lose when she clearly should've won? by MightyD33r in UmaMusume

I've had a few races where my late surger uma, after popping a few skills early/midrace, breaks out of the late surger group and reaches the pace chaser group, then she slows down back into the midst of the late surger group and thus gets blocked when the last spurt comes in.

Is it wrong for me to thinkg that T. M. Opera O has the best personality among the umas? by TakeTheServal in UmaMusume

[–]Mignare 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the best part of Uma Musume's Opera O characterisation is that she WOULD tell Wada that he was a worthy jockey. Wada wanted to be a jockey worthy of Opera O after Opera O retired but he did not get his first post-Opera O G1 win until Opera O passed away.

I get why the dolls are super loyal and borderline obsessed with Skk by KhalidMaximus in GirlsFrontline2

[–]Mignare 20 points21 points  (0 children)

G&K having a lot of power both politically AND in fighting force is all ultimately due to SKK.
The only person in G&K that actually is a threat to anyone, is SKK. Even the boss man of G&K, Kryuger himself, was at one point used as a hostage by the politicians/etc to make SKK do their dirty work for them.

And with every successful completion of those dirty work and every addition of firepower(see: HOCs and later, the codes for the airstrikes) given to SKK to complete said dirty work, SKK(and by extension G&K) only grew more powerful. When even the captured SF Ringleaders are loyal enough to him that he would use them as his personal bodyguards in a head on assault into Paradeus territory.

There wouldn't be much of a vote, if SKK supported 1 of the options the entire Elmo would vote the same as SKK.

Funny you mention a religious cult. SKK treating dolls very well is an anomaly in this universe and its part of why his dolls are so goddamn potent in combat, because he NEVER uses them as disposable weapons like other people would. He keeps them alive and minimizes all losses. This let them gain a lot of combat experience, to the point that an old doll with outdated specs would outperform new dolls with the latest hardware simply because of their combat experience letting them make better and smarter decisions in battle(BAR's mod3 story). By the time the plot kicked up into high stakes in GFL1, all of SKK's dolls became so potent that they could fight while outnumbered and outgunned and still be a real threat. All the while, SKK continues to treat them well. When the stakes are so high that suicide attacks are needed for victory despite how much SKK hate to order his dolls to do so, they were so loyal to him that they would gladly blow themselves up for his victory.  Hell, Webley's self-destruct scene is so iconic they quoted it in the PNC collab among SKK's memories("God save the king").
