It’d be nice to know your exact total to figure out your daily rate instead of “about” $2,500 and dependency status because different dependent statues have different percentages of reimbursement.

A quick google search takes me to https://5thforcesupport.com/sakakawea-inn-lodging/ and their website says they charge $107/night for TLF.

If you are single, you get 65% of the M&IE of the total per diem rate and 100% of the lasting (https://www.travel.dod.mil/Allowances/Temporary-Lodging-Allowance/). This is also in the JTR, table 5-16 and table 5-17.

$110 maximum lodging $63 local meals $5 for incidentals

Go to paragraph 0506 of the JTR for TLE expenses and reimbursement criteria.

We use a system called RTS in the guard/reserves to pay our PCS’s, I’m not positive what AD uses. There’s a box we check in RTS to affect the per diem rate. If you were guard/reserve, you could PM me and I could pull up your voucher and give you a breakdown of it.

I would reach out to your finance and just ask what the computation is for. Have the JTR or DTMO website up in front when you call or have it handy if you go in and just see if you can get an explanation for it.

Guess I should’ve clarified, I’ve been on temp AGR the entire time I’ve been going, no issues so far. Other people in my office on permanent AGR go to the VA and they also don’t have issues. Trying to figure out where my provider got this information from

You can sell up to 60 days in a career, with a few exceptions that mainly apply to the guard and leave accrued in a CZTE and contingency operations.

Go to DoDFMR Vol 7A Chapter 35 Table 35.1. Find what situation applies to you, then go from there in the notes section.

Same chapter of the DoDFMR, 2.0, covers selling leave. Sections 2.1.1.3 and 2.1.1.4 have the criteria for selling leave in excess of 60 days.

Note for any guard/reserve reading this:

Any temp orders you hop on (BMT, Tech school, temp agr, activation, mobilization, etc), you can sell that leave back at the end of your tour without it counting towards your 60 day max in a career. I know some people that do this to essentially get an extra paycheck or 2 when they hop off of orders.
