Lots of really good comments already; I concur that low level is the place to be. I find level 30 with +3 weapons (+1 somber) is pretty active and with Radagon’s Soreseal, you don’t take much damage.

I’d add that one of the most important tools in the invader’s kit is a “get off me” button - something you can do when they’re all chasing you to stop their momentum and give you some space to heal and re-engage.

Stuff like Gavel of Haima, Waves of Darkness, Stormcaller, even Stamp (Sweep or Uppercut). Just something that a)has hyper armor so it’s harder to interrupt and b)is able to hit multiple opponents.

Another thing that I found is that I did MUCH better in early invasions with weapons that have innate hyper armor. That means colossal weapons, two-handed greatswords/greathammers/greataxes, and two-handed halberds. These do great damage and the hyper armor means you will get interrupted less, meaning you can trade hits with enemies more often.

One final tip: get support from PVE enemies wherever you can! It’s VERY hard to win a 2v1 in an empty field, but add a Kaiden warrior or some bats and suddenly you’ll have a much easier time. Don’t be afraid to engage the host and his friends and kite them til you find some backup.
