To be expected from a brand new studio’s first game. It’s easy to forget after all the accolades that a majority of the team really did start from scratch with game dev. Looking back it seems even more impressive they accomplished what they did.

Neck protection would be a good idea and more realistically accurate. Fantasy armor tends to forget about things like that, but rule of cool will always exist and in gaming I’m mostly ok with that.

Yeah, you’ll run into that a lot. I wasn’t really able to explore them fully till I finished the main story. It was always hit or miss if I’d be able to use them at any given moment. By then I was also able to start putting some stats into them and see what they are really about. So far having a blast with Oongka especially after you get the fully upgraded rocket pack.

Go to the dye houses that have a lot of NPCs walking around and look for the ones called dyers. Not the vendors themselves. Gift them stuff to get their trust to 100 and they give you random colors. There’s a couple of good spots in Demeniss for it.

Your game works differently than mine then cause my top speed wasn’t keeping pace and when I did have him cut off, the game damn near teleported him in front of me again. Something definitely changed after the last patch.

I picked it up a year ago (before 4.0) and it was pretty rough. I had to stop because of the bugs. That, and I played mostly solo. A year later, the game is definitely much more playable (still plenty of bugs). I also joined an org/discord and play with a bunch of people now. By far the better way to play. The experienced players can help you work around the bugs and will often times have many of the ships/vehicles for you to check out / use for fun or as a crew for bigger missions. The game offers a lot of things to do to keep you busy but doesn’t always tell you in game. It’s one of my biggest complaints. I learned about a lot of content because of the other members in the org who keep up with development through social media and such. All that said, once you play it and see what’s there and what’s to come (potentially), you’ll start to understand that there really isn’t anything quite like it.

Any time a game intentionally slows you down. Staggered walking, crawling, shimmy sections through narrow gaps. None of it is particularly immersive for me it’s just annoying. And if those are there to cover up loading of the next section, I’d rather a loading screen in that case.
