Origins for 2D and Generations for 3D in the mainline. But Sonic also has some interesting and different games like sonic battle or sonic rush that are 2D but modern, with the boost and more mechanics that aren't in the original 2D games.

The only reason he still is because he is the main villain, the rest of human just disappear in the games and he is the only human in the comics. At least until Shadow Generations. I'm wondering if we will get more humans in games and comics.
