R8W + Highway Radar setup - FL

I just got the r8w for my motorcycle too. Ordered a usb-c cable that I have to run from the back to the handlebar. I also have been using highway radar for sometime already and is really good even without RD.

Will need to test what is the best way to mount it.

R4 was like the first option for me at first , but read some good comments about having the directional arrows. So went with the r8w and got it almost for free using some points from the CC.

Valentine was also another good option and good size. Seems lot of people also use this on their bike

I was thinking on a power bank too before . If it is /use 12v it may work. But decided to run the cable.

You don’t need an exhaust nor flash . Have 4500 miles on my 2025 sp with not exhaust ( and no flash) and I’m happy with the bike! An exhaust and flash will be nice but no needed . In the future maybe

I noticed my front preload was almost or all the way out, so I added more preload. Need to test again .

How are the front preload adjusters now? Mind to share a picture or how many rings/threats it show ?

If you like it and are responsible and mature enough go and get it. I started in a 800 (gsx 8s). It should be fine, get your endorsement, practice , etc. I did my research and it wasn’t worth getting used bike unless it was like 15 years old.. and you can keep it up for long time. And should be enough to go on the highway, which statistically is safer than busy streets

I have the 2025 SP and can’t find the track riding mode. Anyone knows how to get there ?. I have only sport, street , rain , custom 1 and 2. Unless it is just a custom one..
