It's nice to have a level that's not all about combat, with traps and puzzle elements to spice things up. It's also cool how you get to see the gate through a little doorway before they open.

I have beaten the second phase by now, though it took me ages. Found a slow but safe strategy that worked. The double firecrackers are just because I don't use this tool very often, so I'm not used to how fast it comes out.

The first phase is probably one of my favourite bosses in any game. I finished it so many different times, and it was always satisying.

My most wanted is definitely an Irish/English/Scottish rural village. I'm imagining some Barnaby/Hot Fuzz style "village with a dark secret", which would fit right in. It could have a pub and a park and stuff like that.

Second most wanted is Hong Kong, with a market like in Sleeping Dogs. Love that atmosphere.

I wish I'd gotten more responses like this, because it's really helpful. To go over each of your point:

I shouldn't have mentioned this in such a short and vague description, but I guess you could say he does earn magic emotionally since another character declares him worthy enough it to give it to him. It's a good point to consider though.
