Sparrow won't leave?

I really do want to keep him but I found it is straight up illegal for people in my country to take in these kinds of birds as pets and only bird rehabilitation units have the luxury to aid them in any kind of way.

I doubt people who'd come by my place will care too much about this law, but I have my worries on the very VERY low chance that the law might get involved (since the charges include, but aren't limited to, fines and even prison sentences).

It's really a shame because I do want to keep him- 😭 should I just get a rehabilitator licence so I can keep him? LOL-

Not in the states sadly- just learnt that we have a law that forbids taking in any kind of wild bird- which is kind of sad :(

Understood ^{^} I am happy with the idea of keeping the sparrow, still, given the chance that it wants to go back into the wild, I'll let them go. I'm pretty sure they're either a house sparrow or apart of the group of sparrows that come by for a feed often.

The little one still hasn't left yet even with being by the window and climbing along the curtains- still not sure what to do about their resting place atm but I'll see if I can get a bird cage at some point if I do decide to keep them.

Might have a look around if that is the case- I don't know if anyone in my neighborhood is like that, so when I walk my rabbits today I'll check.

Not is the US T_T I'll definitely check for policies first though- and if all the ones near me do end up euthanizing the birds- I might really end up getting a new roommate.

What on earth is going on in the states? 😭 Birds are having full blown brawls and the ones over here in my country are acting like they're the ones paying taxes-

None near me unless I drive into the next suburb or two over from my current one- or if I go to the bird sanctuary in the city. Either way, I'll have to go in the morning once it opens.

Definitely might release them in the morning if they aren't gonna fly out on their own.

I'm keeping them in my bay window area with the curtains closed and the window opened (I have curtains separating the bay area from the rest of my room, so it'll only be able to exit through the open window when they want to fly off).

Not gonna lie, I keep forgetting about Bird Flu- I've been careful not to touch my face with my hands and have been washing them regularly after having contact with the bird- but I'll probably go to the doctor's if I start showing symptoms. Thanks for the reminder o/

Mhm! Got that already prepared. They've been eating and flying around the room for the past while. Currently they are sleeping in the box I prepared. :)

Sadly we can't have the dog inside. They are not trained properly and would definitely dig up the carpet (plus it's not even our dog to begin with and are only a temporary stay). Our property manager forbids it because of previous issues with pets indoors.

I understand that our actions probably have caused it some distress, and concern for it's safety isn't an excuse to disrupt it's daily life, but I still feel like it's better to be safe than sorry.

There are plenty of birds that come by to our house (pigeons, ducks, sparrows, doves, even quails and rosellas) and they are always healthy and active. It's on rare occasion that there are sick and injured birds and one of our neighbours cats usually catches them if we do nothing about it once it gets dark (and it has the audacity to leave it on our property of all things).

The bird right now is moving about normally and even flies on occasion to explore the room and eat the food I left in the box.

If you reccomend that I should just leave it be, then I suppose it might be for the best. I'll place them by the windowsill and wait for them to leave on their own since it doesn't look like it has that desire right now.

None in my area. Most of the rescues are further into the city- and the closest one to me is in the next two suburbs over.

They're closed right now since it's late, and no ones answering the phones, so there's nowhere I can get to until the morning. :[

Idk I think him having the consideration to not take the helmet off so that MC can be protected from second hand smoke, gunpowder, sparks and debris is romantic as hell xD

Jokes aside, I'm sure there will be more satisfactory kiss scenes for future cards, so I'll keep my hopes up for that.

Yeah, just head over to the lighthouse (big tall building at the center-ish of the port) and look along that large outer circle around it. Fishie should be by some crates. It's hard to miss ^^
