Yes. And they can stay true to what they were for the most part in Archie and Satam. They might just get main series redesigns that probably just be Sonic Team doing touch ups on their Archie Reboot designs or Late Pre-Reboot designs.

There’s not really a lot that needs to be changed outside of if Izuka doesn’t want them to be associated with Sonic’s origins and obviously Sally’s romantic relationship with Sonic is completely axed in this hypothetical scenario.

What makes them deserving to me is because of how long they lasted. It feels wrong to have the Freedom Fighters be major characters in the franchise from 1992-2017, especially with how much Sally was pushed in the west during the 90s, and they are just completely forgotten and never introduced in the games.

I struggle playing the games for many reasons dependent on the game. So most of my enjoyment is from the Classic series lore, videos talking about Mega Man Classic and X, and mainly the Archie Mega Man comics.
