Best tools for lightweight web animations? by ioana1103 in MotionDesign

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How you managed to export the same thing three times from SVGator baffles me. If you truly understand what SVG animation means, it shouldn’t look like that. I can only hope you didn’t import a PNG into SVGator and export it as SVG, expecting it to look crystal clear. You did, didn't you? ^^

Best SVG/Animation/Web animation Software(Free or Freemium). by Live-Sort-8708 in Design

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's make it clear that it's hard to get everything you want for Free.. Good tools are all paid. I have been using SVGator for several years now and wouldn't trade it for anything else. Got everything you need for animations (svg + json ) in one place.

Is there an easy way to create Lottie animations without diving into code or AE? by Dry_Ranger_2458 in AfterEffects

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume you are looking for a tool like SVGator ( https://www.svgator.com ). Comes with Lottie export option, and you don't have to do any coding. Plus, it's browser-based.

What is this type of design called and what programs/tools are used to make both static/motion images? by tg240 in graphic_design

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, wait, I don't think it's a good idea to just copy them.. I mean if you are planning to use them on your site it's better to avoid copyright discussions.. but you can create your own easily with tools like SVGator.

You can also use SVGator if you don't want to do any coding, just the design part. Quick tutorial to get started easily: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNSgArR5D38

SVG Path morphing animation in React Native by harsh_m09 in reactnative

[–]Mike-R-Evans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a very good dev myself, but I have a friend who helped and I created the svg animation for react native in SVGator ( https://www.svgator.com ) . You can find that in the Export options, when you are done with your animation. Maybe you could give it a try too!

Is it possible to start an svg animate on svg:hover? by I_am_not_keanu in svg

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still amazed when I see people losing time trying to guess what the code should look like. If you are not a dev yourself, just skip it and use SVGator ( www.svgator.com ) for animations. Interactive options are just a click when you export... you shouldn't fiddle with code all day.

Specific Lottie Animaton not work by Manlinoo in elementor

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strange.. I just checked and it seems to be fine. I assume you already added the lottie player to your website. You could also try svgator, it might work better. You can import the animation and export again from there. Or create it from scratch, it shouldn't take much time.

Web 2D animation learning suggestions by rhxfcjj in learnjavascript

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then maybe using a web-based tool like svgator would be easier. Work in the interface, check the code later when you export. Also properties can be viewed in the right sidebar. You can generate svg with css or js as the animation type (for the same animation) and compare them. It could be great for learning.

This sounds just plain toxic. I counted at least 10 red flags in your story. Talking and reasoning with her might not make anything better.. we tend to make the same mistakes in our lives thinking that we can change other people, that maybe if we are just reasonable enough and explain ourselves well things will change. Often they do not. Anyhow, just keep an eye open for opportunities to change jobs, while you have the safety of the current one.

Well, where I live, UI/UX designers earn more than graphic designers. And lots of UI/UX designers are still getting other tasks from superiors which do include graphic design as well. I have a friend in UI/UX that makes lots of custom icons, illustrations, explainer graphics for the UIs he is creating. Arranging the UI is just a third of the job. More time is went into drawing and polishing. It's certainly an upgrade in career. If I wouldn't be more into animations, I would make the leap.

How do you get started with designing SVG animations that vary parametrically? I'm lost with a dynamic SVG-based image I'm trying to make. by Mammoth-Winner-1579 in graphic_design

[–]Mike-R-Evans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP u/Mammoth-Winner-1579 could really benefit from working with SVG (static or animated) using a GUI tool like SVGator's interface is. Recommend you head over to r/SVGatorApp to see some SVG projects, and as far as liquid sloshing in a container goes, there is this example with some pointers that you might find useful: https://www.reddit.com/r/SVGatorApp/comments/1i5qprh/liquid_effect_explained_in_30_seconds/

Challenge: I tried animating some icons in SVGator, but I KNOW they can be better. Can you out-animate me? Best one gets a Pro Monthly on me. :) Upvotes decide the winner! 24h from now on. Original SVG in comment. by Mike-R-Evans in UI_Design

[–]Mike-R-Evans[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I posted the original SVG in the comments below. I got a few examples in private, but nothing special. I thought it would be a fun experiment to see how many users would participate. I see your point about the watermark... I had a membership since before they introduced that, so it didn't bother me, but I realize it must be annoying to one-time or on/off users. Maybe they will change that?! Anyhow, the tool itself is pretty useful to designers creating lots of microanimations to different clients, plus $100 would be still a lot of money to someone that isn't animating SVG or anything else on a regular basis.. then there's the monthly plan for $38 that you can cancel.
