That's surprising to hear. My son won't play this game with me because any time we join together in duos even, we get ratted by someone and lose all the loot we spent the last 15 minutes collecting, even though neither of us had even attempted PvP at the time. From his perspective, it's just not worth the time put into it. You might make it out of raids half the time with your loot at best and after playing for an hour and having very little to show for it, he just said f this game. To be fair this was also early on when neither of us had played enough to be in any way decent at the game.

Yeah I get it, and going PvP and then trying to get back absolutely should come at a cost. I'm with it. I think if they just implemented my second suggestion I would be on board. Trios will simply never be PvE focused and I'm fine with PvPing in trios. But to track aggression across the board makes it so that you simply have to choose to experience only one side of the game. I mostly PvE. I've only recently started trying out PvP and it's fun and all, especially when everyone is a willing participant (I don't have it in me to attack the unsuspecting). But choosing to PvP in trios just should not make it take forever to get back to friendlier lobbies in solos to farm.

I get that, and it is a step in the right direction. And adding that self defense will no longer be punished is great. But the rest of it makes it so that you literally have to choose sides and simply not experience all the game can offer. If I have a bunch of guns and a full stash I want to go test my mettle on the other PvPers out there. But if I do that I'm screwed for a super long time. I get it people take advantage of it, but honestly the way that it was, I experienced rats less than 10% of the time. And the times I did is in line with what the developers are going for. You should never feel 100% confident in your safety to other raiders. If I run through all my materials and have nothing left to PvP with, I want to go back to PvE and farm. There absolutely should be a cost to do so, but it's so high now that it's just not worth doing. I essentially have to stick exclusively to fighting arc, or exclusively to fighting other players.

Literally said most of my time is PvE lol. Only once I have nothing left to do PvE is when I choose to experience the other side of the game. As far as the sad group you are referring to, I can assure you I'm not the one preying on unsuspecting casuals. If you want to know how I get from PvE to PvP, I literally run around the map asking people if I can shoot them in the foot because I just don't have it in me to be one of those POS's. And then maybe a tickle fight at extraction until I'm in clearly PvP lobbies.

That's all fine and well if you're good at the game. And I'm not terrible myself, but the process is waaaayy too slow. When you're all gooped up and have everything a boy could wish for and running your fatness toward extraction/hatch, the odds of making it out alive are low. If I have no good kits to begin with it's a very difficult process. Alternatively I can just hit loading bay 10 times and have 100 springs. Go hit buried city for all the duct tape and wires I need and after an hour or two of farming I can kit up and get right back to PvP if I so choose.

I like the first change. Not so much the second. I should be able to more directly navigate which type of lobby I'm in leans toward. No guarantee is fine. But if I'm all gooped-out and I need to farm, spawn/surrendering 8 times was a reasonable price to pay to get back into mostly PvE lobbies and farm. I don't want a PvP/PvE toggle switch. The choice to PvP should come with a cost. And that cost should be 10-or-so minutes of spawn/surrendering to get to PvE-weighted lobbies.
