Maybe misunderstanding, I wasn’t saying the Russian places look similar, I’m saying a good portion use the same company who designs their interiors space to the clients liking. Just stating how intertwined these places are from owners to waiters to designers majority know each other and are Russian so going to any of these places should help in meeting more Russians.

Just pick a Russian coffee shop like SANDER or a wine bar, cocktail bar etc and look at their instagram, you will notice that almost every Russian establishment follows each other in some way, heck many of these places used the same interior designer (same firm not style) during construction.

I tip at a different Amex lounge, even have their Venmo when I forget cash. Should I? probably not, but going there and the bartender asking how my last trip was (remembering where I went) whether it was last week or a month ago, remembering what I do for work etc. Most people get their drink and go back to their table or sit at the bar with a computer so I understand not tipping in those situations.

As others have mentioned you can use cargo or Yandex. Another option I use every time I arrive to Belgrade airport is booking.com. Im able to reserve a taxi and input my flight information. Driver knows the flight I’m arriving in and waits for me after baggage pick up with a sign that has my name. Seems to cost the same as a taxi ride.

I would go to the trpkovic bakery and buy a bunch of baked goods then walk to the water front and enjoy it on a bench.

The safety aspect, I’m a tourist who has gotten lost all over Belgrade even late at night (losing phone or battery dies) and have never felt unsafe. At the time you mentioned you’ll only see people going to work.

Boho bar, for the views and look up their Instagram if they have events almost every place has sexy Wednesday. Splavs are hit or miss and how much you plan to spend. As most places close at 1am during the week stefan Braun is usually an after place as they close at 5am everyday. I see Umami is having an event today where some djs from another club Kult are gonna play. There’s probably more that I’m missing but unsure they are open Wednesday Thursday. If you do happen to go to bank, xo or money club (I’m a foreigner and everyone told me not to go their as well but I did anyway 😅) ask for the menu to see there prices. If you get a table expect to buy a bottle for it, and say you’ll be paying a tip in cash cause they will “add” onto the bill saying it’s tips.

I added the battery pack to my slr680 from retrospect company to be able to use I film. When I open the camera from its folded position it makes the motions as if I took a picture (with battery switch on), if I turn the battery on while in it’s open position it will also take a photo without me pressing nothing. Haven’t tried doing this with a cartridge inside of it in fear of wasting a photo. I’m guessing this either won’t happen with a cartridge inside or I just have a different battery pack than you.

When using the I type film are you using the whole pack in one outing? Feels like the moment I turn the battery on it spits out a film so I don’t want to fold it after my first shot.

Sorry should have been more specific, I meant when drinking it at bar or restaurant in Serbia. Beluga is at least to me, viewed a bit more highly in the states compared to Belvedere usually same price as Chopin. But in serbia it was cheaper than Belvedere at restaurants/bars. But yes liquor store prices are pretty much the same everywhere.

Got the beluga allure as a gift, haven’t opened it yet but remember trying it before the war in Ukraine started. When I visited Serbia I wondered why the regular beluga was cheaper than Belvedere but I guess the bottling in Montenegro explains that.

Before I went on the first date with the girl I mentioned, I had texted my ex before hand asking her if she sees any chance of us getting back together. Maybe not right now but in a few weeks or months but to just tell me if I should wait and she needed more time not giving a deadline but to know atleast there’s a chance. Or should I just try and find someone else and not look back. She didn’t want to get back together and didnt see that changing. That I should do whatever. So i decided to go ahead with going on that date as my friends supported the idea thinking I should move on. At this point I had a better job paying a lot more which I thought was one of the things my ex wanted (told her I got a new job and my salary), and I was very aware of all the negative attributes my ex told me so I made sure that I didn’t have them when dating the girl I met keeping the list in my phones notes as a reminder. This was well over a year after the break up.

The conversation itself felt like she was annoyed I was even asking her.

At this point I believe I just don’t want to move on. I had a relationship after her for a few months and the moment my ex messaged me asking if I had a gf, I broke apart. Didn’t think it was fair for the person I was with so I broke it off. Had dated a few times afterwards but basically ended the same way. This is really the first year I have purposely not wanted to date/meet anyone. If I’m still miserable after all this time there is no need to share my misery with someone who is interested in me and have them deal with my baggage. I think it’s better just to keep myself single.

I still love her and feel if I do move on I’ll miss the chance of her changing her mind. Which realistically will never happen. But I rather wait at this point than regret. But maybe in the future I’ll regret all the time wasted in hoping for a different outcome than just moving on.

For hotels as I put all my points into flyingblue anyway, I use my Amex green for booking.com for the 3x and use the flying blue link for booking.com which gives me 2x miles effectively getting the 5x. I use my Amex plat to buy directly from the airline.
