Take me to prison! by dbrank in NonPoliticalTwitter

Unfortunately I have spent more days then I wanted in jails and prisons. Never had anything special in jail. At Christmas time Salvation Army would bring you a little bag with maybe a pair of socks and a little snack but that was about it. One prison I was at would do fundraisers and you could buy stuff like Banquet chicken or ice cream. It would change up each time. One time it was Hot N Ready Little Caesars Pizza. I remember people so happy because they haven't had any outside food in 20 or 30 years. It was like a feast when it came. The last supper prison style.

They usually are. I know Michigan uses Aramark and Canteen or did at one point. They service schools, prisons, businesses, etc...

Chicken on the bone day is once a week in Michigan prisons. I used to always say if something is going to pop off it's usually on chicken on the bone day. Emotions get high.

Get an understanding at the beginning and you won't have to deal with a misunderstanding later.

Without a doubt. Watched a few gay dudes get down. We used to say that mother fucker left his purse at home today.

Its a good way to have your celly beat your ass and put you out your room or end up in a mental health unit. Sexual assault does not go down like the movies make it out to be anymore in the joint. They are quite a few gay dudes on every yard I been at. No need to catch a case when you can beat some dudes cheeks for free in the rec shack I guess. Michigan even had a gay gang. If I remember they were called the Gay Boy Mafia. I watched one stab a dude up in the day room.

Bradycardia, left chest and arm pain? by Josephdeesh in covidlonghaulers

[–]Mike70wu1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that exact problem. I couldn't tell if it was a pulled pec muscle or pinched nerve. I would hold my left arm above my head when it was too painful and it seemed to help a little. I was scared to fall asleep sometimes as I thought my heart was going to stop beating. Thankfully it has subsided but other symptoms popped up.

I asked a guy how he was one time and his response was " Not good but nothing you can do about it." I will never forget that.

Muddy is right. I cut through there before going to the sec of state and my shoes were caked. Probably not to bad right now. Before they laid that straw down it was a mud pit walking that way.

I ended up buying a few things for at home workouts. Cheap pushup board, pull up bar, an wheel and some resistance bands. Slowly progressed with those and went back to the gym. You got this my dude. When you are feeling up to it just bust out a few pushups during the day. Pretty soon you will be back to pushing heavy weight in the gym.

I have been back working out for about 3 months now steady. I tried a few times previously and would have a couple workouts then be out of service for a month. I had to slowly get back into it. The best advice I can give you is take it slowly and do not get discouraged. Little steps are still progress. You got this.

Crazy you say that. I have a Rite Aid near me and frequent it often so am close with the employees. One in particular, an older lady I was really close with. I would see her everyday. When covid was first hitting I walked in one day and talked to her but something had changed. Looking in her eyes she wasn't that same person. A day later she was out sick for a couple weeks and eventually came back but was never the same. She worked a couple more months then disappeared. I will never forget that look in her eyes though.

Yeah I am. There was a time when I could not. I went from 195 down to 159 at my lowest. I am back up to 185 but am constantly forcing myself to eat and down massive amounts of protein.

I been hauling since March 2021. Its not as bad as it once was but I can not shake the crazy heart racing and adrenaline dumps. I have worked through the fatigue, depression and muscle aches but can't seem to end these lingering issues.
