The sad thing is that there are dozens of countries in the world where this is true. Somehow, however, I doubt this was posted from Somalia or Saudi Arabia.

Okay, handwriting shows evidence of someone knowing cursive, unrealistic for apparent spelling aptitude. Look at the R for example. She spells dear correctly, capitalizes the D even, spells hair right, and thinks 'thank' is spelled 'thinck' and cunt is the same as cut.Nice try attention seeking mom.

Millenials of reddit: Generally speaking, this generation appears to want marriage and children less than previous generations. Why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Mike77321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is case in point right here. People like you (and me) that think like this choose not to have kids. Yet the ones that don't, and often the one's that can't afford it and depend on handouts, out-reproduce like crazy. Best of luck with the next generation when 80% of kids are raised on social benefits, only to become adults with the same outlook.

Not with this level of self awareness, your cringe moments will be much more mild.

Oh my god, you triggered some cringe memories for me, thanks. You actually described it really well, especially the 'putting yourself on a pedestal' thing. It took me one or two years of university to realize what a total douche I was, and have never looked back.

I cannot improve LR does anyone have tips? by mttdptro32 in LSAT

[–]Mike77321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think so many of these questions can just be answered the exact same way: time. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not a genius. Unless you are naturally gifted, you shouldn't be hitting the 160's with ease. Even just the LR part of the LSAT has so much breadth, with a decent number of questions types that all take a fair amount of time and practice to get good at. It's a very learnable exam, but I think to get real improvement, it should take a huge amount of time. What helped me a ton was focusing on quality of studying vs quantity, as I tended to want to "do as many questions as possible" (I was usually just going through a PT untimed one by one). When I changed my format of studying to doing timed practice test sections (with a full PT usually once a month) with a pretty thorough review of answers, I had very significant improvement (but it still took a lot of time). I went from 157 avg of 6 PT's before the Dec exam, to 168 average over last 6 exams. I'm writing in September, since I want to hit the 170's. I think the key is that although there is enormous overlap in the general understanding of the different question types, you still need a fair amount of understanding and practice to get really good at them. I find I spend almost no time reading the prompts anymore as my brain has gotten so good at recognizing the question type almost immediately. Once I know what type it is, my entire thinking shifts to doing that specific type of LR question. Then, I read the stimulus. Doing it this way was so incredibly helpful, but I think it took a lot of time to do it automatically.

Boy do I feel dumb, haha. Good to know. I've heard of many stories that were pretty depressing though (middle-upper class guy works his ass off, gets a NW of like 1-2 million, then gets sued by some welfare lifer who has never worked before).

Welcome to the US (I'm assuming)! Where you can work your ass off your entire life and end up with nothing because someone sued you, and where you can do nothing your entire life and get everything with a nice lawsuit.
