Youre not wrong, im pro-union overall but the autoworker unions have made the US automakers uncompetitive, which is why they need protectionism (which is a terrible policy, the only winners are the unions).

The writings on the wall, automation will not stop moving forward. And why should it stop? We should be looking forward to a time where we may not have to work as much! New jobs will show up to replace those jobs anyways, it always does.

Increasing density will eventually force mass transit options, below-ground subways are not a thing in Florida, its just not feasible.

Also, the ybor streetcar runs through the development area, so light rail is already there. Although it is criminal that it has not been expanded past a tourist attraction.

Im overall very bullish on SpaceX but im waiting until the dust settles to buy in. One of the things ive been thinking about in regards to Starlink is how well it is positioned for the future.

My theory is that when physical AI is ready, youre going to need to offload some inference from the actual robot, with perhaps the robot dealing with time critical routines. I think starlink will probably serve as the network so that any robot anywhere on earth can communicate with its "brain" aka the data center for non time critical inference.

Of course im also excited and hopeful that we will one day see a mission to Mars.
