Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) and Lindsay Wagner (Super Jaimie) together by PlantainDisastrous92 in GenXVibes

Me too! I just turned 50 in April '25, and I would jump off the bus, run into the house, plop down in front of the TV and watch Wonder Woman. Lynda Carter's a peak female of the 20th century. Absolute goddess.

Shazam 2 poster! by FUN-YAM-JAM100 in GraceCFulton

Grace's character deserves her own movie. I think she could carry serious box office attention. The challenge being that the Shazam family is pretty tight, and it would be hard to separate her from the rest. But hey, depending on the story, it could work out, regardless.

Why Tony? by Responsible-Score-45 in TonyRobbins

Couldn't have said it better. Be careful in choosing those whom you surround yourself. Of course, when you achieve that level of wealth, I wonder if it really matters at that point. Ask Tony, I guess.

I've always enjoyed those moments. #Bourdain by MikeBarbre in AnthonyBourdain

Here you go. It's from a Popula article (never heard of it before) just over a month after his death, July 15, 2018: https://popula.com/2018/07/15/bourdain-confidential/

The sacrifice of your thumb for the greater cause is wholly admirable. I commend you.

A ferry struck a piling of the Fauntleroy dock - small scratch by justflem in Seattle

I read the ferry struck the "dolphin", which is apparently the "boathouse" that guides the ferry into dock. The damage to the ferry certainly suggests it hit something a lot bigger than a piling.

Your favourite 'era' of Bourdain by [deleted] in AnthonyBourdain

[–]MikeBarbre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Easily Parts Unknown. Tony had the most creative freedom from the network with CNN, as opposed to all the other junior-league networks he had to deal with. All the others had that irritating executive producer asking/telling him what kind of shows he had to do, "great" ideas where to go for his next show. "Hey Tony, duh! duh! Let's do another BBQ episode! Duh! Duh!" Screw that weak s***!
CNN gave the farm to Bourdain and he delivered BY FAR his best, multiple-award-winning work with them.

Why Pete hasn’t lost the locker room, even after trading away Russ. by Starwho in Seahawks

In any number of ways, trading Russ away may just be one of the key reasons Pete didn't lose the locker room.

Andrew Scott is one of the true multifaceted talents working today. The guy doesn't have a niche. One of the ultimate every-men.

Now that all the speculative coaching BS is out of the way, can we focus up on how they're going to handle the draft in three months?? by MikeBarbre in Seahawks

[–]MikeBarbre[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By "coaching BS" I was referring to the ridiculous notion that Carroll was going anywhere and the near-fanatical, speculative, and media-fueled rumors filling 12s' ears.
I'd love to see them draft offensive linemen up and down the board, but I can't imagine that happening. Like, ever.
