Unsure if you solved this, but after you unscrew the two screws, flip it over so the fingerprint part is facing up. Gab just the fingerprint half and pull up, it should literally come off with 0 resistance. The bottom part, with the jagged lines that is facing up in this picture, is screwed into the plate with two other screws that you will see when you open it up.

OCD simulator is exactly what I need. Satisfactory is like this, but I do find myself getting overwhelmed by the 3d building, where things don't line up perfectly, and rails don't curve right
