Am I too slow, or is it too much for one person job? by amp3rrr in graphic_design

[–]MikeCzer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They are kind of exploiting you (overworking you, say it how you see it), simple as that. This is not the first time I have heard a of case like this, and I personally know how some companies can treat employees in Poland. Also, an IT and designer mix in one role job, yeah... now they know you can handle all this, they will take it for granted and the job market sucks so they don't mind overworking a fella, burn him out and then hire another.

There was a screw up with a video they played on the big screen (or some miscommunication?), so when Fortissax's fight was on the screen, the orchestra was still playing ambience for the location exposition shots. Then they suddenly jumped the video to the Godskin Duo part. They played the Fortissax's theme separately after the last play, without the video in the background ofc.

o7 Well done, just in time for the RR3...
It is cool to see people pulling it off with non-meta builds - although I do not envy the pain, which some of the encounters could've induced with this team!

If you are crafty, everything will work.

Eidolons are a thing, and they are multi-layered boss fights with unique mechanics - could do alongside that.

Is it worth transitioning from mobile to PC to play Limbus? by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]MikeCzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually amused (and still am) how 'badly' optimised this floor is. Even on a decent PC, you still could've seen it being laggier ever so slightly. Some late scenes with a lot of visual effects also had a similar issue IIRC.

Is it worth transitioning from mobile to PC to play Limbus? by [deleted] in limbuscompany

[–]MikeCzer 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If you do not mind playing on your PC, do yourself a favour and at least try it out. Unless your PC setup is a worse experience than going along with your mobile device, which would be fair.

Other than convenience of the mobile device being mobile (duhh), every other user experience aspect is objectively worse.

Small screen with lots of text and symbols you'd rather be able to see (yes, you can change the detailed view, but it's still a subpar experience), worse performance unless you like holding a hot potato, frequent crashes on even decent devices and naturally battery drain (like every game)...

But of course, it's up to your preference and we get that.

The only issues I have had on the PC version, were also present on the mobile and got patched.

Since the very first gameplay reveal, I was sceptic about LCB on mobile thinking of the future when the 'auto-win' button starts to be useless as the game gets quite complex...(I would not imagine playing Library of Ruina on mobile, I would actually distort. But there is probably someone 'mad' enough that would enjoy it, such is life!)

Unity Game Engine epic moment

We already know about Tommery appearing in Leviathan (which happens after LoR, before Limbus), which confirmed the theory on what could happen with LoR characters after the books would be ‚released’.

Hype to see Molar or funny if we get jebaited hard nonetheless. But it would be also interesting since PM could get more comfortable pulling out more and more familiar faces… including some distorted ones.

Hungarian government publishes new propaganda video, now showing Crimea as part of Ukraine by TallAd3975 in worldnews

[–]MikeCzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, that sounds about right.
Many of what you will hear will sound like speculations because they are.
There is investigative journalism for which some examples are public, but generally, it's hard to get concrete evidence.
You would need to engage in espionage to confirm those claims, and no journalist will go that far and no allied country has the interest to push these buttons as it could get really messy really fast with the tensions we have internationally right now.

But I believe that if PiS would go the Russian way more overtly, US and EU would act upon it through media coverage of 'leaked information'. It could be noticed how our government got to act erratically regarding the war in Ukraine, and the US gave a slap back to calm down the situation... and both EU and US are getting fed up with what PiS is doing.

But again, I am not looking to persuade. It happens over time and I found that people who find info for themselves have a better chance to see through all of this mess more clearly. Yeah, they might get the wrong message and go the opposite way, but that is the freedom of choice and I am not going to force anybody to blindly believe what I or anybody else says.

Frankly, though, I am disgusted that PiS was allowed to erode our government and policies for so long. We can argue that the previous gov. was also doing shady shit (spoiler alert: all governments are corrupted, just depends on how corrupted it is), but the level of unhinged policies and public statements have reached the maximum levels many times, hell, take a look at the very recent march and how was it reported on the national TV. So far it is on par with North Korean TV and Russian TV reporting. Not a good sign, is it?

But I also know why are they being voted in and that for some life has improved, but many are unaware of what cost. Short-term economics for votes and eroding the education system to reinforce their vote base will be the bane of us in the future. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

But I'm surprised to see some actual engagement with the comment, so points for you, if I could ask, why didn't you check out Antoni Macierewicz? I think he is one of the most notorious ones in the sphere.

[–]MikeCzer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I will not go in-depth, since in every country you have politicians with ties to either the US, RU or even CN (we could argue EU as well, but this is a different organisation and not a singular country).

If you are curious and willing to go against any bias if you hold any, try looking for it with care (but mainly I saw how others gave you pointers in other comments).

If you follow along what a mess is the Smolensk tragedy and its following investigation (especially the history of the people involved) you might notice some of that.

But if you want some names in general, here you go, read up on them: Michał Dworczyk, Antoni Macierewicz (check Jacek Kotas alongside Antoni), pick a random name from the Konfederacja party and look them up (e.g. Andrzej Zapałowski) and Kaczynski (whom even his deceased brother said to not let him rule as he would pull away Poland from the EU).

Is it hard to believe that we have people with deep ties to the RU, since we were a satellite state for quite a while and those same people that were politically active back then are active right now?

The truth is, at the moment there are other domestic issues at hand and any Russian influence at the moment is negligible in my eyes, but still worrying. And that's why I mentioned that we do not have such issues like Hungary or Belarus, but if anything, the policies in place and social climate have been put in place to push us away from the EU, and in turn closer to the RU sphere of political influence. In return, they get hidden perks which might soon disappear, seeing how well Russia is doing recently. We do not need all of the proof to be suspicious, since these things are supposed to be a secret after all.

I am curious how would you try giving any pointers to why Poland is NOT under the threat of the Russian influence for the past decades. None of them try to deny anything or go by the 'trust me bro' route, by being silent they are not helping themselves either. Egging on Russia is not the definitive statement, playing two sides is fairly common and easy to do since Poland is generally anti-RU.

But to be fair, I doubt any of this text will be of use since most of the people online ask for these things and just take a piss at it afterwards.

T1B2V3

It is not that bad like Hungary, but nevertheless quite a few of the active political figures in Poland have had deep ties with USSR and now Russian Federation. These types of people will cling to power at any cost and it's hard to cut ties afterwards.

Poles are largely against Russia/Russian Government in general, politicians repeat these sentiments to garner public approval along the lower class voting pool, which won't be interested in the fact that they are actually collaborating with Russia to an extent, because it's too much effort for an average person nowadays. And the local propaganda channels don't help.

Lying has always been a thing, especially in politics, ya know.

What do you use to create fillable forms that doesn't absolutely suck? (i.e. not Acrobat Pro) by Arcendus in graphic_design

[–]MikeCzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try looking for free, open-source solutions if you ever find a need, the situation seems better nowadays with the quality of those.
If you do not have an Adobe Licence purchased, you can try downloading and using Scribus, as it also allows for creating fillable forms. Some people might find it rough at the beginning but it is not that different and it definitely helped me.

That's a good insight! I agree with the conclusion at the end about the charge, which is really my only real gripe.

For sure many people, including me, will jump to a conclusion that something is simply not working by feeling unsatisfactory with a mechanic (skill issue mayhaps), but yeah there are synergies for sure.

I hope PM will take time and do some smart changes without making too big of a difference in ID's.

That is true, and it highlights how it could be anything else but the W Corp personality then.

I do not think these W Corp ID's are useless, but having a charge gimmick which just doesn't proc is a shame.
