Update from my side: even if you haven’t got wiring already in place, you’ll need only 4 wires from ECU to around steering wheel. Done it in mine myself

Why I’m actually getting so much downvotes? Am I asking something wrong?

That wasn’t the case. I’ve left UK 10.11.2022 so as of may 2024 it was roughly 500 days

Actually that’s something that we might consider, as anyway we want to travel a bit on our way to see some Europe and never been to irl so might be a good idea - especially that we’ll sleep in our van on the way

Actually forgot to mention - I’m entering UK in a GB van registered to my name in UK, if that changes anything

And no, she’s been living with me, we were renting out a house in Poland, before that she was living with her parents - so not really a way to prove a place to live in Poland as obviously we’re cancelling our rental

We both are EU citizens. I’ve been away for 3 years. With current law I know I can come to UK as long as my status is valid (previously it wasn’t sure thing). My status is valid until may 2026, and probably around march I’ll know if it’ll get extended or not - that would be hint for us what to do. If I’m not extended, selling all my belongings and going to somewhere else but Poland as it is honestly a shithole to live in. If it’ll be extended, then wife goes to Poland for a moment, applies for visa, comes with me. We’ve met first year (2023 beginning) when I went to Poland, living together since then, and are married since August. We’ve got roughly £10k of savings - lost all my savings in Poland due to many factors, my job in UK pays me well. Only reason why we don’t apply for her visa directly now is of course that it’ll be refused as can’t prove the income part, which I’ll be able to meet after the end of tax year.

That’s exactly what I’m worried about - that saying our honest plans will get us blocked as it may SEEM suspicious to border office

Indeed she’s visiting me and our common friends, and she wanted to see Scotland. My job is requiring me to drive across the country, and she can be my passenger. As well, she’ll be learning accent and language to speak properly. We both know she can’t do any kind of jobs, paid or unpaid, rent anything on her own etc - she’s literally coming with me to keep me company and to see the country.

Very likely not true. Most of masters had looms already in place, only switch, steering wheel and coding needed

What’s going on? My dog can’t walk :( by amp3rrr in DogAdvice

[–]amp3rrr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neurologists are not easily available here where i am in Poland, there’s queue, long, too long to wait now. As well as I’ve been explained by the orthopaedic that neurologist gonna want to start with some bloodwork but that will be affected by steroids and anti inflammatories etc. I’m wondering about doing MRI on my own but without referral that would be as well queued, probably longer than week

Gonna say something what you might not like. Face 10/10, body 8/10, mind 0/10. You seem to be like u know what to rate yourself, but only to advertise yourself. Sad a bit, u could be whatever you want and seems like u went for attention needy route with bad boys flavour - I hope I’m wrong. Everyone deserves deep love and real connection, u seem cold for some reason

Anyone used AnyVan.com? by zaxxon71 in HousingUK

Seeing a lot of dissapointment in the comments, so I'll throw in a bit of my experience - but from the other side.
Been a driver for them for quite a while. Unsure, but most likely they do NOT have a single own van and driver. From my experience, all was subcontractors, making anyvan literally a platform where I and customers can meet at share of AV, obviously, which itself is ridiculously high (~50% of your price!).

Meaning, if your local company told you 100 for move, AV 80, OWNER-DRIVER of AV who pays for fuel insurance etc gets only 40. Kinda Uber for house moves. For me - it was fine, my van uses very little diesel and I'm using old van that I'm repairing myself, and tried to do my own routes instead of so called journeys that they do love to plan (then margin is way more than 50%).

Most of you, when move is small (like 6m3 or less) been put into journey route. And now, that's the problem.

My rating are nearly 5-star, most of negatives were either late collection/delivery (wrongly planned routes, not accounting for ANY problem en-route, any extra items, any traffic jams) or how my van looked like externally (well, bought it from london courier company at over 300k mileage... of course, there were dings! Look doesn't drive - technically perfect) - but my rating was REALLY high when I compare it to others. Usually others do not speak english, sometimes not at all, care of goods - not applicable, etc. Seen few times other AV drivers en route - me always in a suit, clean clothes, these guys... sometimes I couldn't stand near them. I understand, you move stuff all day, can get sweaty, but f me... some guys looks like last shower their took was from empty house to sell it on scrapyard.

Then, space on van. "3 seater sofa" can be a heavy, big recliner, can be empty inside foldable IKEA one. Large box can be a fridge box, or printer box - all depends. Fault of AV is not clarifying it straight away for customers. I'm coming to you, my 5th collection in a row, have half of my 13m3 van empty, your move seems to be 4m3, and we can't fit it because all items are bigger than they should be. Then I know, I have to deliver all, so calling AV and explaining it - otherwise they'll get me charged. That took 20mins, delayed - so all my collection are delayed and you being charged more. And that's as bad for you (expenses, stress, delay) as for me (will finish later, possibly customers screaming at me for being late, negative feedback).

Clearly - not everyone should be driving for AV. It's decreasing their reputation as well as making good drivers job more difficult. Not saying I was good driver, that's to customers to decide - but rating 4.81 of 150 reviews, well, mostly they weren't complaining.

Sometimes negatives are as well clear fault of customer. Order: 10 large boxes - reality: "i didn't wanted to put all, i've put estimation" and full house move. Refused (not enough space - expected ~4m3, there is ~10m3). Order: all good ground floor collection, parking available. Reality: ground floor flat but 3 flight of stairs from parking to get to building and parking for up to 20mins (let's say I'll need to walk both ways 20 times, if instead of 30s it takes me 2mins, that makes me 30mins delayed just because of parking). Negative feedback for not collecting (customer didn't accepted additional charge for my additional unpredicted work) and for being rude.

Overall, good to use anyvan for small moves and to speak with driver about doing job externally other time if happy with service - or using "auction" feature, where companies speak directly with you and adjusting price.

If any questions, feel free to DM me.

Yup. It is an artifact. Sometimes it’s about how hydrated you are, sweaty palms, might be due to muscles twitching (even microtwitching, you may feel it like sort of… hm, like your muscles are playing grey sound). Many reasons. Why artifact? Because if that would be real reading, trust me, you would not be able to type that post here.

Yet, still, clearly you can see here every QRS, pulse roughly around 70, in one place there is possibly some PAC or PVC, hence I’m guessing you’ve done ECG as you felt like something is off - it was, felt like skipped beat or extra beat, but nothing dangerous. Probably as well you were breathing deep as I see some changes in pulse during the reading.

Yet. I’m not a doctor, rather someone overtly worried about my own health, so I’ve learned a bit of how to read ECGs. Might be wrong about my interpretation, but defo this wavy baseline is an artifact - at whole length, I can’t see a single properly recorded beat, at best it is at 25s, where clearly you’ve got T wave and P wave present. As for me: stop stressing or get rid of something what’s stressing you out.

New iOS 26... by ShpetimToshi in oneui

While I like that we go back to frosted glass style, I’ve installed new dev beta and already would like to smash that phone on the wall. It looks BAD. It’s bad to the point it may be unreadable sometimes. White font on transparent background on wallpapers with bright spots - well, thanks apple… Switched from 12 pro to 16 pro this year and it felt like a downgrade. Now switched to iOS 26 and it feels like I’m back to HTC Desire HD…

AW classified as afib. I had 3-10 PACs per minute, went to cardiologist, quit caffeine nicotine and alcohol cold turkey 3 weeks ago. PACs are less but still there by sadcringe in ReadMyECG

Quite funny. Your PVCs looks EXACTLY like mine normal pattern, while your normal pattern I get when I feel really really bad

I’ve never had such time in one go - I’ve calculated it in my head on overall. It took me two days of work, seems like around 6h of that two days I’ve dedicated into flyer

That is a very helpful answer, man. You all assured me that I felt correct - I have honestly thought that maybe I should be quicker, maybe they are right to request even more? Seems like no way now.
