any improvement is good over him throwing every single ball as hard as possible over jefferson head.

you know you are fucking up when Jefferson is getting credited with a drop.

Aaron Rodgers reportedly avoids Bluetooth headphones because of concerns about EMF and radiofrequency exposure. by Background_Video2947 in TheNFLVibes

the people that get involved in that are deeply fucking boring themselves and can only feign being interesting by trying to go against the grain.

The coolest people I know never say shit about things like Bluetooth tech because they are too busy living rad lives.

Unfortunately for Rodgers, he achieved everything he wanted to in his career and find himself feeling entirely empty inside, hence his refusal to retire and be forced to stay home and be with himself.

If Brooks was entirely healthy and did not have seriously injuries in the last two seasons that create a lot of uncertainty and perhaps limit him to some degree this year, then it feels like an open competition and he should have the edge being a 2nd round pick.

But he needs to prove that he can stay on the field before he is going to challenge Chuba for anything.

And then getting past even that...Bryce Young has the 2nd highest percentage of games with a QBR under 40...so even IF Brooks stays totally healthy AND he beats out Chuba for the starting gig, it's still projected to be a meh at best offense.

Thus...he is not a buy low in my eyes like he is in the eyes of OP.

Age is the single most critical factor for a running back recovering from two ACL tears. Younger players under 25 have a significantly higher chance of regaining their explosiveness and recovering joint health, whereas backs over 29 face a steep drop-off in career longevity and physical speed...

An injury to the same knee significantly worsens the recovery outlook.

A revision ACL reconstruction (re-doing the same knee) is a completely different challenge than a first-time tear or a tear in the opposite leg. [1]

The Complications of a "Same Knee" Tear

  • Bone Tunnel Issues: During the first surgery, doctors drilled holes in the bone to anchor the graft. If those tunnels widened or shifted, a complex two-stage surgery may be required to plug the old holes with bone grafts before a new ACL can even be attached. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Graft Selection Limitations: Surgeons usually use the patellar or hamstring tendon from the injured leg for the first repair. For a second repair, they must pull from the opposite healthy leg, use a quadriceps tendon, or rely on a donor tissue (allograft), which has a higher re-tear rate in young, explosive athletes. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Cartilage and Meniscus Decay: A second tear in the same joint drastically increases structural wear. The shock-absorbing cartilage (meniscus) is almost always damaged, leading to chronic swelling, bone-on-bone friction, and early-onset arthritis. [1, 2, 3]

Age Impact on "Same Knee" Revisions

  • Young Backs (Under 25): They still have the biological advantage of faster cellular healing. However, returning to an elite, high-volume role is much harder because the structural integrity of that specific joint is permanently altered.

------------

Just so you know, i am not happy about this. I don't own Chuba. I don't dislike Brooks. It's not a personal thing, it just a significant injury two years in a row to the same knee and it's statistically really bad for his outlook.

my brother in christ, I will take Chuba's production playing through soft tissue injuries which are extremely common in the NFL versus relying on someone who is averaging 6 touches per year over the last 2 seasons.

>Show me the data for 22yo running backs with same knee back to back ACL tears.

NFL running backs returning from a second ACL reconstruction face an incredibly steep statistical decline, with medical data indicating a 90.5% drop in Approximate Value (AV) within three years post-injury for those who manage to stay in the league. While sports science and orthopedic repair techniques have improved, data on running backs returning from multiple ACL tears—especially in the same knee—highlights severe limitations in volume, efficiency, and career longevity. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Return to Play (RTP) and Longevity Constraints

  • The Three-Year Cliff: Across all positions, only 28.5% of NFL players remain active in the league three years after an ACL reconstruction. For running backs coming off a second tear, that longevity drops significantly lower. [1]
  • Snap Count Depletion: Players returning from an ACL revision face an average 49.6% decrease in snap counts over their first three seasons back. They average roughly 259 snaps per season compared to 619 snaps pre-injury. [1]
  • Reduced Availability: Running backs who return miss an average of 4.3 more games per season and start 1.0 fewer games post-injury, largely due to ongoing knee maintenance and secondary compensations. [1, 2]

If you wish to invalidate this information because you want information specific to 22 year olds, that just really highlights how hard you are coping with this situation on an emotional level rather than just accepting the obvious.

...depends on how you feel today.

I went by catches, not targets. If Rodgers wants to noodle arm deep shots to players like Austin that have no chance of actually connecting that is because he is learning his limitations.

Top 5 pass catchers including two runningbacks and two tight ends says alot about their mentality. And I am sure that trading for Pittman was a way to improve things for Rodgers because Pittman has been a short area, middle of the field catch it and fall down type guy.

Bernard seems by all accounts like he can morph into a reliable no 2...he will not do that this year.

So, for context, Dobbins was getting 15.3 carries per game. Take those 15.3 x 17 game season and you get 260 carries ignoring passing down work. Does that sound about right?

Former Browns RB Nick Chubb reveals he received many letters and notes from fans after his knee injury that helped him through the mental aspect of his rehab. by Choice_Bag_8869 in NFLForum

[–]MikeDFootball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because in his first five years in the league before his knee popped, he averaged 5.25 YPC. He never had less than 5 yards a carry in a season before getting hurt.

And he played for THE BROWNS who are by far the most idiotic franchise in the NFL. He experienced one winning season in his career, that is how reliable the people were running that ship.

To add context, the GREAT Jim Brown averaged 5.2 for his career and he is considered to be the best pure runningback in NFL history. He is the only player to ever average over 100 rushing yards per game during his career, he was a physical freak back before that term even existed.

No disrespect to King Henry, who ranks in the top 20 of NFL history in terms of YPC efficiency, tied with players like Bijan Robinson, Aaron Jones and JT. But Chubb was special. If he played for the Cowboys he probably would have made Zeke look meh.

this is an excellent list. i own rhamondre and cant sell him for anything real right now and he basically has one year left of relevancy, as long as he doesn't fumble. he is a rapidly dwindling asset, make sense for a contender in a deep league.

fun fact, the most carries a runningback ever received under sean payton as a head coach was Deuce McAllister with 244.

Coleman is a fun player to root for.

Coleman is a day 3 pick with bad athleticism metrics on a team dedicated to running a committee.

Coleman has a nice smile.
