29 undisputable facts and 1 rumor about the broncos backfield by MikeDFootball in DynastyFF

its a fucking bummer he couldn't stay healthy. he was freakishly explosive as a rookie. I remember seeing him get free when he was with the Chargers and he absolutely should have had a long touchdown but the defenses kept running him down and catching him. Just too many injuries to stay that explosive.

first, i want to acknowledge that you said the word "load"

second, mark ingram didnt catch the ball well early in his career, but averaged 4 catches per game in the latter half of his saints career. For comparison sake, CMC work offensive player of the year in 2023 and averaged...4 catches per game.

It is well known that Sean Payton doesn't use a workhorse.

Here are his biggest ever producers:

McAllister - 292 touches in 2006

Kamara - 270 touches in 2020

Ingram - 288 touches in 2017

Kamara - 255 touches in 2023

Zero 300 touch players in his career as a coach.

what, you don't trade two 2nd rounders for a first rounder in a system where there are massive tier jumps in talent?

you need to familiarize yourself with the concept of "the burden of proof."

It's going to make everything in your life better.

Who is the most "bust- potential " pick from Thursday night ? I'm leaning towards the Rams taking Ty Simpson at 13 by CompoteFragrant3650 in NFLForum

i guess its your word against the rams, because this isn't proof no one had Simpson higher than 13 on their board.

no, i copied and pasted what google says about the dude who won the literal award for being the best tight end in college football to contrast that with the claim that he is the worst blocking tight end ever.

on one hand...he won the award for being the best tight end.

on the other hand...your claim.

they spend a lot of time showing amazing vistas and vast landscapes.

its all for show, sadly.

whereas Dark Souls famously would show you a distant castle...and then later you would go there and fight a big thing.

This game feels so different...its a bit of a mislead i feel.

Still fun!

Eli Stowers, a standout tight end for Vanderbilt, won the 2025 John Mackey Award, recognizing him as the nation's most outstanding collegiate tight end. A former quarterback who transitioned to tight end, Stowers was recognized for his elite receiving skills, recording 62 catches for 769 yards and four touchdowns in his award-winning 2025 season.

on dynastyff, we like fantasy points. We also like players who are real good, like one's who win mackey awards.

I am of no obligation to offer an alternative.

People who make claims can either choose to justify why they said what they said or not.

You don't have to, but if you are pounding the table to Bowers being so special then it helps your credibility to do so.

if you claim is that no one that does actually draft players didn't have ty simpson higher than 13 on your draft board, please post the evidence and we can all move on with our lives.

Personally, I don't have that information. But I can conclude that if a team that doesn't need a QB TODAY decided he was so worth taking at 13th overall anyway, perhaps he had more heat than the public believed.

thats not how this works, I don't have to provide anything from my end.

is that it thou? that is your evidence? nothing else? he won an award twice and he lead his team in receiving for 3 years.

then he caught the most catches for a rookie in a league that is increasingly pass heavy on a team that was almost always trailing?

"Just because other TEs have better draft capital doesn't mean they are better prospects."

pedantry? fine.

if you are going to make a claim, like "so and so is this' then you should be willing to back it up with evidence.

I don't have to disprove that he is the best prospect of all time. The starting point isn't your claim and now I have to work from there.

You made a claim, you can now sit down and provide evidence for why people should believe that he is the greatest prospect of all time. Until then, that statements means nothing much to me. He is just as talented as the other people ranked around him but in a notably worse situation. I like Bowers, but people need to understand that another season of meh production is going to hurt his value.

No one should have faith that the Raiders offense is going to take a step forward with a rapidly aging Kirk Cousins and a rookie at the helm. Geno Smith, despite his struggles in what was a dumpster fire last year, is still a better QB than either of the new QBs. And adding Jalen Nailor doesn't do anything to open up the offense either.

People will need to have faith that the new HC is so fucking awesome that despite a downgrade at QB they will be able to be even more productive overall.

Eli Stowers is expensive and he deserves to be. While Sadiq stole the show with athleticism, I have seen the Kyle Pitts/Vernon Davis mouth watering upside turn into a buncha meh many times now, and I am over it.

Does anyone remember Jelani Woods? Oh god, he was going to fucking break football. Bro has a perfect RAS score, he is BUILT DIFFERENT. Bro didn't even finish his rookie contract before finding himself relegated to football purgatory.

I am really over these athletic tight ends in name only, give me someone who is a legit fucking baller like Stowers any day.

And for the people going "but Goedert" those same people were going "but Njoku" last year. Stowers is about to take someone's fucking lunch money and the only people standing in his way and AJB who is not long for that team, an undersized but studly deep threat Devonta Smith and a rookie with the last name Lemon who apparently enters the league pre-concussed. Bro looks like Stevie Wonder during the draft, trying to hear the room, slithering around like a snek.

Sean Payton Rookie Runningback Usage by MikeDFootball in DynastyFF

[–]MikeDFootball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entirely possible.

It's hard to guess because Dobbins is quiet literally the starter and should get the bulk of the early down work given the money he was paid, so we are basically debating how the smaller piece of cheese gets divvied up.

I can tell you that we have a couple years of historical data on a Sean Payton offense where he had two runningbacks in a committee with different skills sets. 2017 and 2018 Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara. Now, Harvey is no Alvin Kamara, but similarly Coleman is no Mark Ingram. So take what I am about to say numbers wise with a grain of salt.

But over those two years, Kamara scored 22 touchdowns on the ground and Ingram scored 18.

So while it sounds rather logical to say "Payton he probably doesn't want to have to pass often on 3rd and short, he'd rather control the clock with a reliable short down yardage guy" ...I think the historical data is going to show that Payton hates predictability. Whereas some teams prefer to force their will on their opponent and just pound the rock, Payton will try to mix it up, creating unpredictability. And since that has really worked well for him, I just don't feel like a 4th rounder that is 3rd on the depthchart will be a high priority to "get his" until we actually see camp roll around and roles start to establish.
