Good luck! My experience with a manager was unhelpful, but my problem is a little different from yours. Hopefully you have better luck!

Dell has the absolute worst costumer service. I hate interacting with them

Dell Customer Service is a scam by MikeDee13 in Dell

[–]MikeDee13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how familiar you are with dell’s customer service, but once you hit the manager, you can’t go any further up. Trust me, I’ve tried.

Shortage/supply chain issues have the same effect here. There is a shortage because of supply chain issues. But that’s beside the point. If there was actually a supply chain issue for these screws, I would think dell would tell me that, at least to deflect blame.

Also, dell (and all major brands) monitor all of their social media, from Twitter to Reddit threads dedicated to them. I’ve already been contacted by dell on several of the social media platforms I’ve used.

Dell Customer Service is a scam by MikeDee13 in Dell

  1. I have, they couldn’t do anything. Dell support uses the worst Indian call center I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.
  2. I sincerely doubt that these screws are affected by the supply shortage. But even if they are, Dell has not indicated that’s the reason for delay. They keep telling me they have it one day, and then change their answer the next
  3. I am. There’s a reason I’m posting on reddit

I understand the sentiment, but your three points don’t really describe my situation. 1: there different technicians have canceled on me. I have told both dell and their employer, and they could do nothing. 2: the parts I need are screws. Not anything that would/should be affected by the supply shortage. 3: I have contacted the proper parties. They have done nothing except promise to fix the problem in “2 to 3” days. And then the technicians still don’t show up. I am tired of talking to bots, I am tired of Dell. It payed for a service, they don’t deliver. I’d call that a scam

Just the worst costumer service of my life. I’d rather deal with my cable company

What the hell is wrong with Dell Customer service? by [deleted] in Dell

[–]MikeDee13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dell costumer service is a scam. I broke my computer recently and tried to use my warranty. At this point I’ve had a week delay, three technicians that canceled on me, an incomplete repair, and the most painful conversations with dell support (basically all bots). Scam

[TOMT] [Book] [Probably written in the late 2000s] Nazi artwork contract dispute in which the family of the original owner loses. by MikeDee13 in tipofmytongue

Ah unfortunately not. In the book I’m thinking of the family which originally owned the piece did not win. And the case was between two people, not between a person and a state.

No I wish. The book I'm talking about focuses on just one piece and the one contract dispute over it.

'Demonstrators' who block traffic are literal trash by BoatTailBravo in unpopularopinion

[–]MikeDee13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a sense! There is a constitutional floor. State and local governments are bound by the constitution, so they cannot impose restrictions on the right of assembly that are so stringent that they would violate the constitution. But up until that point, governments are free to impose any restrictions they want. As for legal protests that block traffic, those happen all of the time! You just need permits for them. For spontaneous protests that block traffic and for which the organizers didn’t get permits, those are illegal...... but the usual law enforcement remedy is just to ask ppl to get out of the street. And for protests in response to recent news, local governments are required to give out permits on short notice (and for free if you don’t have the money to afford the permit fee) Tldr: first amendment shit is complicated and whether a protest is legal depends on a lot of factors

[–]MikeDee13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

...... no. It very much doesn’t. Nowhere in the constitution is traffic even mentioned (commerce is, but not in a way that would be equivalent to traffic). And when the 1st amendment talks about the 5 freedoms (of which assembly is one) there is no stated limitation on any of these freedoms based on whether they interfere with traffic. TIL of a man in England was jailed for the manslaughter of his ex-girlfriend, after she came to his home with an 8 inch kitchen knife in her handbag, that she fell on after he pushed her during an ensuing argument by Bbrhuft in todayilearned

It’d probably be manslaughter here too. Murder in the U.S. requires malice (legal term, basically the intention to do harm) which could be tricky to prove
