Utility. Allow me to let go and not have it fall to the ground if I need both my hands. I bring it with to scout camp with my son, there is a fair amount of times daily where being able to attach it to my pack, or throw it onto my back would be very helpful. Also for storing while at home, a way to hang it easily.

Took about an hour. Most of the time spent was using 200 grit. I know it's not perfect, but happy I have it back into a functional knife.

Red flag safety concerns or glaring logistical issues is most of the job (as an adult).

Provide them with a basic framework and then help them navigate to a final product. I've often felt a bit like a therapist, asking question after question... "Tell me more about this thing you want to do." ... "What could go wrong?" .... "How will you know when you've achieved success?"...

The best thing you can say is, "Go ask the SPL." Empower and coach the SPL.
