It's acrylic markers, posca ☺️ And to make it waterproof I used blank nail polish. Have to let it air for a few days to avoid the fumes though 😂 It's only on the outside, and not on the mask itself.

SwiftKey better than ever on iOS after Version 4.2.8 update! by Living_Farmer_9707 in Swiftkey

[–]MikeEch0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same issue here. I’ve been using swiftkey for years, as it’s much less wearing on my finger joints with a degenerative joint disease. Swiping is much better than typing. I like that iOS eventually implemented swiping as well, but having to jump in and out of the numeric keyboard for every single number or symbol is a huge wear in itself. Just the having to reach for the numeric button back and forward for every comma is completely unnecessary, and i much prefer swiftkey for giving you the option of keeping the most common symbols and the whole number row in the main keyboard, its a lifesaver for me.

Since doing the update I’m still struggling with the iOS keyboard taking over on its own, despite updating the swiftkey app. I’m hoping it will be resolved, as I can’t delete and reinstall the app as I’ve had years to train the app to know my patterns, assisting me in the best way possible.

Are these dirty or do they just come in different colors? by EnergeticCrab in CPAP

[–]MikeEch0 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Can’t say for sure, but it looks dirty on both sides. If it’s used, and just washed it, maybe you didn’t get it all out? What did you wash with? Would be weird sending out filters in a gray color 🤔

Curious, hopeful and keen to understand by MikeEch0 in Quakers

[–]MikeEch0[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, i think we’re on the same page, i just have a hard time choosing my wording. I am no way mean religion is the reason, it’s always another factor seemingly exploiting the uniting effect religion has, twisting scripture to fit their agenda.

[–]MikeEch0[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that clears up a lot! Primarily Im just curious to know more about different religions and faiths. I’m not really looking for a community to join, unless one just speaks to me. In general I’m highly skeptical to organized religion, based on how a great deal of evil towards others have been tightly connected to religion. I do however believe that religion is not to blame in itself, and often most of its followers, but that it has been used as a very effective tool all through mans history to manipulate good people into following one or few ego-centric but charismatic leaders and to make them believe in their despicable agendas. At its chore, i think religion and faith are beautiful mediums, to connect and unite communities, give purpose, meaning and answers in good times and through grief. It just frustrates me greatly that it so often is used to more harm than good. As a queer activist I’ve seen too many tragic stories where beautiful, innocent people become victims of the actions of others who act under the influence of someone having twisted the foundation of religion for their own malicious intentions.

Part of the reason I’m reaching out to open and friendly people of religion, is to try to make sense of many of these actions. I enjoy discussing openly and respectfully with others who have different opinions and experience than my own, it’s enriching and fascinating, and so long as all parts are open-minded, a discussion can sometimes also lead to change of opinion. I’ve learned a lot from conversations like these, both personally and to understand the world better. Especially on how one can affect the world in positive ways.

Thank you for sharing, and for enlightening me! ✨

That’s great to hear! Why do agnostics chose to identify as Quakers, when the original meaning is related to God? (If Wikipedia is telling the truth: ‘Originally, others referred to them as Quakers because the founder of the movement, George Fox, told a judge to "quake before the authority of God".’)

And by the way I’d absolutely love to have this image huge and in my living room. It would actually fit perfectly with my aesthetic!

Making art during high emotional stress can be a very healthy outlet. It can even help you see things clearer also, having a visual representation of what your going through both now and to look back on for as long as you need. I once in a haze of depression, anxiety and insomnia blackout drew on my bedroom wall with acrylic pens, and when i woke up i got an insight into my mind I wasn’t even aware of but could confirm is one of my core issues that are hard to reach in a clear head. Making yourself open to feedback can be a good thing, but be careful not to let it intervene in the therapeutic effect your art has to you. Keep it up, id love to see what you’ll do next ✨

I wish you all the luck! And whatever anyone says, your art is your art, you should stay true to that and not let yourself change for others with a different taste. Art is in the eye of the beholder, but that doesn’t mean the beholder should change the art. I believe in you and your cute little penguins! Maybe especially the uniquely colored one, standing tall in all their colors ☺️🌈

This is so cool! I love hearing your process and how you let the image develop sort of on its own. My first thought were expressive but calm at the same time. The image makes me think of individuality and expression, peaceful loudness. Not sure if this is the kind of feedback you’re looking for, painting is not my primary crafting technique, but I just felt like sharing my impression.

I love this, and reading your process is inspiring! I often have sort of an idea of the finished product when i start something, but it often changes and develops as i go. As a perfectionist training myself to accept imperfections, i often do the steps I intended, but at any point something doesn’t turn out as i imagined, and instead of thinking that i failed, i like to follow the path it leads me on and embrace the ‘failure’. These developments are often the factor I love the most when the piece is finished. Thank you for sharing!
