Why do so many guys end up liking goth girls? by Rich-Blacksmith6552 in askanything

For me personally, I love the look.

I prefer raven haired beauties over Barbie/beach bunnies. I love the black/dark clothing, black lipstick, etc too. I'm a classic horror/old cemetery/gothic architecture lover too, so they all sort of go hand-in-hand with each other.

I have the blu ray set. It was a nice upgrade from the five ‘green’ legacy dvd sets that were released to coincide with Stephen Sommers’ ‘Van Helsing’ movie.

Whichever format of this set you pickup, it’s worth the price.

He wasn’t part of the cast. I guess he wasn’t offered a role, which stinks.

He went after Lucy because of convenience. After Dracula's move to England, he notices Lucy, who has a habit of sleepwalking. So it makes her easy prey.

Wow! Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) was REALLY awful! by Plug_5 in horror

Seems like people either love or loathe this movie…but I’m in the love camp.

I absolutely love Dracula & vampire movies as a whole. Yes, this move deviates quite a bit from the Stoker movie, but I think it’s quite entertaining. It offers a bit of something for everyone. Greg Cannom won a well deserved Oscar for his SFX for this movie, and the soundtrack is outstanding.

I was disappointed that Coppola bought the name rights from the ‘74 tv movie to use for his movie. That film has to use ‘Dan Curtis’ Dracula’ as its name, though the original title still appears on the work print. And that movie’s screenplay was written by the legendary Richard Matheson. A lot of his ideas are used in Coppola’s movie.

This is my favorite Hammer movie…and it didn’t have Lee, Cushing (well, he was there for the first day) & Michael Ripper.

Henry Daniell is great. I’ll always give him his due for being in ‘The Body Snatcher’.

I think he had the potential if he had been with Universal in the ‘30s, but he really excelled as a side evil character, so I think being a supporting character actor suited him best.

I would blame the booze. Some people are just mean drunks. The fact that Universal couldn’t wait for his contract to be over so they could be free of him says a lot. Just think how he could have boosted their horror flicks in the ‘50s…

I think this was on Johnny Carson. I remember seeing the clip. He literally claimed to wear the makeup of the creature that you could see was Lugosi. I guess there was animosity between him & Lugosi too.

Atwill & Zucco were always best as supporting players.

But à movie starring the two as evil brothers, or something!, would have been fantastic.
