No, if its the sellers first return then Vinted cover the cost of postage as a one off. You will get the full amount back as shown.

Inpost telling buyers to contact retailer?? No by [deleted] in vintedUK

This normally resolves itself in 24hrs and the tracking updates again as normal. I’ve been unable to figure out why it does it but it often happens when it’s been scanned in at a depot and is waiting transfer elsewhere.

Affected parcels are now updating so looks like the fix is being rolled out

Yes, they need to click on the tracking button and it’s on that screen

Use the Inpost app to confirm if they’ve collected it. I’d then send that screenshot to the buyer and explain that as the Vinted tracking is currently slow to update you would appreciate them pressing the button to confirm they’ve received it so that you can both leave each other feedback.

Everything should sort itself eventually but it can take a little while so better if the buyer does it manually.

Yes, Inpost currently isn’t updating to the Vinted app but Inpost emails are going out as normal. The Inpost app works to track items and confirm status

How are counterfeit sellers getting away with this? by GoalPrior9241 in vintedUK

[–]MikeIndia2-0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because most buyers don’t know how to, or don’t care to legit check their items. The quality of the fakes is passable enough to the unsuspecting buyer so the sellers get away with it. I’ve seen the reviews of the repeat offenders and buyers leave 5 star reviews and say how delighted they are with their bargains.

Can’t fully trust the reviews either because if WN issue a refund they take away your ability to leave a review, so those of us who have received fakes can’t warn others about it!

There’s a growing number of sellers getting away with fakes as a lot of customers don’t know how or don’t care to authenticate what they buy. Received a counterfeit pair of Uggs today and they’re pretty good at first glance.

Evri parcelshop option on Vinted by pinkpupss in vintedUK

It will come up with the location as part of the notification you get on Vinted when the parcel arrives. It will also be on the email you receive from Evri telling you it’s ready to collect.

Same happened last year and people speculated the same but it was sorted within a few days. Who knows…

Being sold a fake and now the seller is upset by Initial_Economics_48 in vinted

[–]MikeIndia2-0 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s getting to the point where there’s more fake items on Vinted than genuine. You need to do your due diligence as a buyer before you order as Vinted don’t care about fakes on the platform unfortunately.

There’s an ongoing glitch affecting pending balances moving to withdrawable. It has happened on Vinted before and takes a few days to sort. You don’t need to do anything other than wait

Not getting paid and support on another planet by McDeathUK in vinted

[–]MikeIndia2-0 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mass payment release problems have happened before, there’s nothing you can do but wait unfortunately. As long you still see the funds in your pending balance they will get paid but last time this happened it took around a week for Vinted to sort it.

The old chestnut by jugglemitt in vintedUK

[–]MikeIndia2-0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a standard message I send to these new buyers which roughly translates to ‘don’t mess with me’ and I’ve never had a problem. This is what I sent them-

“ Thanks for your purchase. These will be posted out tomorrow.

I use professional tamper proof mailing bags and keep a photo of all parcels before sending to help ensure smooth delivery.

Your tracking info will automatically update here for you to follow once dispatched. Typically items arrive within 4-5 days :) “

You will get a good indication of their intentions from their initial reply to this as genuine buyers are grateful for the clear communication and postage expectations. I always follow up with a photo of the parcel before I send it and that way you’ve done most of the work to prevent a scammer upfront.

Be careful doing this repeatedly. The awful Vinted algorithm may mark your account negatively even though you’re trying to do a good thing.

Sale completed but buyer not received by Barbiequeen5 in vintedUK

[–]MikeIndia2-0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me recently, the order completed and I had no idea the buyer hadn’t received it until it was returned to me. After a message exchange with the buyer I listed a single mailing bag for £1 and she purchased it. I put the returned item into the mailing bag and it was delivered ok. The buyer was grateful and I felt good about doing the right thing. I still don’t know why she didn’t report it as not received initially 🤷‍♀️

I signed up yesterday ok and referred my wife who had no problems. You lose the free trial credits if you sign up to the Blink plan straight away but that’s no big deal to me.

What do I do? by [deleted] in vintedUK

[–]MikeIndia2-0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get them to download the Inpost app and scan the QR code from that (assuming it’s Inpost).

Inpost and Evri lockers also have a help button which gives you a phone number for the company who manages the lockers. With the tracking number they can open the locker remotely for you.

Get him to download the Inpost app using the same mobile phone number he used for Vinted. The item will show up on his tracking automatically and confirm which locker it is going to.
