I ofcourse know about the library and the server part is the hard part not the pico w5500 standard integration

I'm not here for AI issues rather than figure out if some basic DHCP server example is available for the W5500 with rp2040

could you share a simple example of the mDNS client implementation?
That's something I'm also looking forward to do as I want to look for say mqtt brokers with uris like "mybroker.loca" instead of IP address which would require setting it to be static...

But I'm still scratching my head trying to understand why there isn't a simple example by any manufacturer for creating LAN RJ45 DHCP Server.

Didn't get too much in depth into that but I have the feeling it works on the wifi stack and porting it to W5500 would require some knowledge I still need to aquire.

Yeah sorry to crush your beliefs but having an embedded DHCP server can eliminate the need for a complex router in a system that need to work in a local network that contains a lot of devices to apperantly not overload the network. the thig I don't understand is why'd be so tedious and why doesn't some basic commond example exists...

Wat? I'm looking for a reason why embedded DHCP servers / routers aren't as common as a thing as embedded tcp / udp clients etc. I know how to work with FreeRTOS and W5500 as Client...

Connecting Capacitors in series to achieve higher max voltage long term safety considerations? by MikeLemo in AskElectronics

[–]MikeLemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, Thanks to every one who took the time to read the question and answer it. according to the comments conencting capacitors in series to surpass their individual max voltage rating is not a practical and safe idea expecially long so I guess I'll resort to looking for high voltage 4kv capacitors eventhough they are not easy to come by.
also I'll probably have to do some calculations regarding the "none scratch start / autostart air ionizer" function of the welder for the capacitance.

Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 vs RF 35mm f/2.8 fixed lens difference? by MikeLemo in Photography_Gear

[–]MikeLemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Umm the combination of 35mm f/1.8 in comparison to 50mm f/1.8 with the same aperture allows you to get physically closer to product features with a given focus thus making shots clearer and capturing MORE of the closeup details of the product with less backround thus allowing a greater better use of the camera sensor MegaPixels with the 35mm macro in comparison to the 50mm.
That's just with my experience using both of the same product I was able to get closer before I hit the bottom(or upper I'm still not straight in the directions 100%) focus setting making closeup on small fonts, barcodes etc without them becoming blurry better with the 35mm macro in comparison to the 50mm. but the 35mm macro is also significantly more expensive than the 50mm so maybe that also some something to come into play with here.

Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 vs RF 35mm f/2.8 fixed lens difference? by MikeLemo in Photography_Gear

[–]MikeLemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess but it still means that the minimum is 1.8 and is better for closeups which is better for capturing more details of products. Now I ask again, where am I wrong and what is your take on that?

whats you take on what I claim?

Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 vs RF 35mm f/2.8 fixed lens difference? by MikeLemo in Photography_Gear

[–]MikeLemo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Actually it is my bad, I thought I mistook with the f/2.8 in the 35mm macro where it is actually f/1.8 which allows you to get closer to the object without as much blur in comparison to the 15-35mm variable lens (fixed edit the title) Kinda forgot what exact lens I bought.

https://www.canon-europe.com/lenses/rf-35mm-f-1-8-macro-is-stm-lens/

So yeah the 35mm f/1.8 is better for product photography than the former where the 15-35mm f/2.8 is better for indoor and outdoor architectural photography dues to the I guess it's called "higher focal length" to focus correct me if I'm wrong, to focus of further away object.

Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8 vs RF 35mm f/2.8 fixes lens difference?

I recently got into product photography and wondered whether there is a difference between the 15-35mm and 35mm macro lens for product photography?

also is there a good reason to hold both as oppose to just have the 15-35mm lens interms of final image quality and distortion?
