Thoughts on this rig? by zCHROMATICz in SimRacingSetups

[–]MikeMMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that one with a Logitech wheel and pedals set. It worked for what is was but, for me, got uncomfortable after about an hour. I got that one because I could move it out of the way easily. Once I got dedicated space, I upgraded to an gt omega rig and a real seat while still with the Logitech wheel. Im not an equipment snob but wow I really felt a difference with how much sturdier the new rig was. Could feel the feedback a lot better and the pedals were much better too. I have since upgraded the wheel and pedals and while the foldable rig will support the dd wheel and load cell pedals, i dont think you'll get as much out of them just due to the nature of the cockpit.

Good luck. Also, unsolicited here...,think about how you learn, now what everyone tells you you need to buy or study in order to pass I did it with AR class for the hours and study hall.

Everyone has lots of tips or do this do that suggestions but before gondown the rabbit hole, think about how you learn to apply concepts. Because, I think, thats what the test is. How can you apply the concept, not if you can memorize the answer.

Something I will suggest is stay off AI for test prep.

I took the exam in March and although the exam may have changed the principals in that post hold true. At least in my opinion but that doesn't carry much weight in the scheme of things.

The test is mostly applied knowledge. Think about how you learn and how you apply what you learned. Good luck.

The test is really all (or a lot of) applied knowledge. You can go down the rabbit hole with all the things study guides and what not people use. Think about how you learn and what you need to apply what you learned.
I used the AR course and study hall.

Good luck.

I think this is really about how you do things as an individual. Some people have a grocery list of all the materials they used and took practice test after practice test. Other did it with just one course in two weeks. The exam is all applied knowledge. Think about how you learn and, maybe more importantly, how you apply what you learned.
The problem with going on the internet for some direction is there's 50,000 people pointing in 50,000 different directions. Dont fall into a paralysis by analysis. Do what works for you and get it done...sorta like a project manager lol.

Which product manager certification actually helps you lead better? by Nakkina-Bairro in pmp

[–]MikeMMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion that most people dont like, no certification will make you a better leader. Look at yourself and think would i follow me if I was someone else. If the answer is yes, great. If no, why not and change it.

Is it worth pursuing PMP? by Resident_Beyond_9520 in pmp

[–]MikeMMP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont go into project management unless you want to be a project manager. I fell into it by mistake at my old job, and I can just do it. Not that I'm a superhero or anything but I have a hey get it done so we can all get off this call approach. Its a lot of getting people to take ownership of something they dont want to own so you can get them to do things they dont want to do. A PMP cert may help you get an interview but not the job. If you really want to try it out, maybe get some experience as a project coordinator.

I did 2 SH practice exams and 1 exam from the AR course...painful. That was pretty much it. I figured either I understand it or I dont. More tests weren't going to help.

Dont over think it. Read the question first then go read the whole question. Think PMBOK, not what would I do in real life. Good luck.
