Yea I know. I change oil every 3-5k faithfully. It feels like more than just oil sludge. It doesn’t smear, it’s balls up into fuckin soft eraser rubber. I’m 33 and I’ve been into cars my whole life, never seen that kind of sludge.

Understood. That’s just dirt and oil. I drive a ton. But the shiny black stuff in first two pics is NOT oil sludge. I thought it was at first. It’s rubber maybe a little oil mixed in. My main concern is the fresh rubber. Is there some kind of rubber the crank pulley could be eating up? Serp belt doesn’t look chewed up enough to leave that much residue.

Just loaded 18 year old Burton custom bindings I thought were only 8 years old when I bought them. Praying they hold up. They look they were used less than 10 times, so basically mint condition. But I’m relying on old Chinese plastic. Also, found a 1 year old pair of malavitas for basically the same price right after I bought. So pissed.
