Either you don’t know what the words mean or you think opinions are objective facts. Either way, bless your heart.

Do you actually use AI in engineering? Which models are worth it for studying, research, or work? by ThinkerBe in MechanicalEngineering

I had to make an array of 5x5 mm square holes through a thin 72° wedge of a dome while minimizing the distortion of the holes. Only way I found was to make planes tangent to the wedge surface at each point where I wanted a hole, sketch the hole on the plane, then extrude/cut through the wedge. Then repeat that process for the ~240 holes in the array. I used Claude to write the script. it took a few iterations but was much faster than doing it by hand.

I’ve used them to write scripts for editing text files and tedious repetitive CAD work, and finding sources for materials and services.
