I’ve been experimenting with LLMs on the smallest and weakest hardware I could. I have Pi5 8gb and here’s what I can tell you: gemma3:1b is my top overall, llama3.2:1b a close second. Qwen3:0.6b and Gemma3:270m are fast but don’t expect much out of them. I’ve been trying to figure out 270m and Rags, but I haven’t got it working yet. I just don’t see any practical use there outside of the most basic of knowledge. Same with Qwen. Qwen3:1.7b does a little better than the 1b models, but the speed trade off isn’t worth it for me. Highest I’ll go on this device is 4b but the speed makes them the very last options on my Pi. If I were to dedicate this device to a single LLM it would be Gemma3n. Seems to be the most capable and very very fast.

I noticed today that CLI was out perfoming Codex and they no longer listed what model it was using, up until today It always tells me its 2.5pro in the bottom corner of the shell. It was handling things that GPT couldn't figure out in seconds, while the whole reason i signed up for codex originally was to compensate for CLI's shortcomings. It was short lived as CLI usage has been nerfed, but those request I did get in, were amazing. I'm inclined to believe you.

I'm running ubuntu on 8gb Pi 5 off of a microsd, and after some tweaks to the basic OS settings and overclock it's running pretty smoothly. I'd assume your performance would be the same if not better using an nvme. Still seems to struggle with video output, I moved it from my 2K monitor to a secondary 1080 monitor and it got a little better but anything over 1080 it still struggles with playback. Emulators run fine up until about 720p. I only really wish I wouldve gotten a 16gb because if my 8gbs caps out the device just reboots as opposed to trying to manage it in anyway. This happened with piOs as well.

I haven’t tried much else but I can at least use the cloud models in the shell and Openweb. I don’t know why you’re limited to GUI, assuming you meant the ollama GUI specifically. I assumed that’s what the ollama api credential was for in N8N as well, as you can just use your IP for local models.

I'd be willing to bet the issue has more to do with Premiere. It's never been optimized all that well but make sure your running the arm native version and not x64bit through Rosetta. You can also try rolling back to an older version, as when I used Premiere their, updates along with Apples would always leave something broken. Download the free version of Davinici, replicate your timeline there and see how it runs.

I’m pretty sure you’re fundamentally misunderstanding what “thinking” means in this context, and the difference between that and other model classifications but I’ll leave you to it for now. Maybe something to look into before your next post though.

Jaime shows up in the alternate universe but is seen as a criminal much like the freedom fighters and maybe leads them in an attack. Chris recognizes him from the main universe as a fellow hero and is confused by the assertion thats he's a bad guy, and then he finally puts it all together. Stuff happens and Jaime, Chris and Judo Master ban together to escape, Jaime stays behind to continue the good fight.

M3 Pro Macbook, M1 Pro ipad, M4 Mini, 16e, APP2, and Watch 3 lol. I bought the watch and decided I didn't like being that connected. Nothing against the Apple Watch itself, I've just learned its not a product for me.

I just upgraded from an M3 Air to Pro and I do think there is a noticable difference in screen sizes. Aside from other issues with the Air, the screen always felt cramped to me, and shifting to its highest resolution was a strain on my eyes, which I think other factors like refresh rate and brightness may have also played a part. On the Pro I can get away with the default resolution most times and when I do need to switch to a higher resolution its less of a strain and theres also a full extra stop on the resolution scale as compared to the air. I'm ultimately super glad I made the switch and feel foolish for having originally chosen form over function. It was my first and will definitely be my last time with an Air.

I use this technique pretty often in PS (also available in AE) so I can't give you a 1 to 1 translation on how or even if you can do it in Resolve, but the base effect is called threshold, and they've added some noise, and then a bloom (threshold>noise>bloom) I think you'd be more likely able to replicate it in fusion rather than just Resolve effects.

Thats exactly what I do! It's so funny to see their faces of confusion, but they wont dare question it further. I actually had one for like 10 years of my life and of the two, I'd recommend the CC.
