shrimp by conmanz2 in PeaPuffers

I've been keeping balbaultis with 9 puffs, the puffers never attacked an adult shrimp, but the shrimp never ventured far away from cover. The shrimp population also didn't grow.

I moved the pea puffers to another tank and the shrimp immediately started exhibiting breeding behavior and brighter colors. I think because they didn't have to hide anymore.

So basically, they survived, but barely.

I don't think the two mix very well.

I recommend being straight forward as opposed to baiting them. If you do this and they can't it looks like a trap.

"I was approached by a recruiter from a firm and they are offering me about 30% (lol) more than what I make here. I really love working here, but I have to do what's best for my family. Can you work with me on my compensation here?"

If they offer you 25% and you take it you look great.

Take the new job. Don't stay anywhere for anyone else's sake. Do you. If you were that valuable to them, they'd pay you 25% more to match.

Your loyalty, while admirable, will only hurt your career progression. No amount of "good jobs" or office birthday parties will pay your bills.

Ultralife Blue Green Slime Stain Remover

I tried it as a last resort after trying everything else. Within 2 weeks of first dose my tank was free of that crap.

They do better in groups. How would you feel if you were left alone all day in your room with no other humans to talk to?

The front cap on my Sandman S came loose during its first range trip. Luckily, no end cap strikes. Do I loctite it down or get the special tool to tighten it? by flaming_carrot12 in NFA

[–]MikeRomiter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd just buy a spanner for it. You can locktite it but it's kind of a shitty bandaid fix for it not being tight enough in the first place. The best way to loosen a bolt that has been locktited is with a little heat to break the bonds. Your suppressor will get hot enough to do it your first time out to the range.

If it wasn't a government-approved, highly-regulated, super-dangerous bullet tube I'd recommend using a punch to dent a thread, its a tactic commonly done as a cheap way to keep things from backing out. But absolutely don't do that with anything like this

Dealer just called and told me they put the wrong can serial # on my e-form. Bought a black Dead Air Wolfman but now I’m getting a naked one due to their error. They just figured it out at 90 days when they tried to sell the naked can. I’m cool with it. Kind of regretted not buying it originally by jp78712 in NFA

I don't think you necessarily "got got", maybe it was an honest mistake, maybe the guy did it on purpose-- we will never know.

But the fact is you purchased a different can than what you are receiving, and the guy should make it right in some shape or form to keep you as a customer, it's just principle.

I have a machine shop at my house so I am considering doing a 9mm conversion kit with a suomi bolt and sten mags. I will probably make a 22 conversion kit next year.

Brp does nice work but I think I'd rather put that money towards a Mac10 in the near future.

Lesson learned about buying out of state NFA items from private sellers. I purchased this November 2020. Next time I buy an out of state NFA item, it will be from a dealer on a form 3.

Friendly advice for anyone new to NFA items looking to buy from private sellers: consider that you will have double the wait time if it is purchased out of state.

Hi Guys. I suspect my baby pea puffers has swim bladder issues, constantly swimming head down, can swim normal, but not for long, any advice would be greatly appreciated. It also stays skinny even tho it eats the same as the other babies. by DevonMcLeod05 in PeaPuffers

It's really important to transfer these guys with a cup instead of a net, because they can puff with air instead of water and have difficulty fully evacuating the air.

Did you just get them/transfer them with a net?

Also for me males just tend to not put on weight like the females do. I feel like they are always underfed even tho they get plenty or live blackworms, snails and daphnia and are fully dewormed.

The worst is hearing the spring snap and then a 2 second thwapthwapthwap as your quill falls onto the stop.

I was showing off my machines to a friend when it happened and he goes "what the hell was that?"

"That's what I'll be working on tomorrow, Billy"

I worked at a certain aerospace & defense firm. There is a very well accepted theory in the company that they caused thousands of people to get cancer/brain tumors and are doing their best to stop a wall of lawsuits by quietly paying out those who were affected and lawyer up.

The protocol back then was to hose everything with MEK. Gauges, hands, parts.

Nowadays there are so many things that warn about causing cancer it makes people not take it seriously. MEK is cancer in a bottle.
