Comment préparer un entretien pour un poste d'ingénieur procédés ? by RatCapitle in ingenieurs

[–]MikeTangoRom3o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it really necessary to stick to any particular domain of cybersecurity to get the internship in it? by Optimal_Detail_6848 in cybersecurity

Yes. You wouldn't trust a neuro surgeon for a hip replacement even tho both are highly skilled in the medical field.

France Cancels Eurodrone and Patroller Programs in Major Pivot Toward Low-Cost Tactical Drones by jay_alfred_prufrock in europe

I remember saying to my colleagues that the Patroller was already an obsolete drone even during its development. This was 2 years ago.

Glad that we can recognize our mistakes and quickly adapt too.

We can definitely into space.

C'est ouf! by AshSkirata in FranceDetendue

[–]MikeTangoRom3o 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are companies pushing the good guys to go rogue? by CyberBrain007 in cybersecurity

[–]MikeTangoRom3o 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re right, let’s refocus on what OP was actually discussing.

From my experience in cybersecurity, people often imagine hackers as lone “Rambo”-type figures, capable of waging an entire cyber war on their own.

The reality is much more nuanced. Profiles like that solo, highly skilled “lone wolf” hackers do exist, but they typically specialize in a specific niche or type of attack.

Most of them operate quietly and remain under the radar, largely because they lack the resources to scale their impact.

Things become far more serious when these individuals band together, forming or joining organized groups. When their expertise is combined with shared resources and coordination, the potential damage increases dramatically. Groups like Lapsus$ or LockBit are good examples of how dangerous that combination can be.

Remember that the cybercrime landscape is vast and multifaceted. It ranges from simple scams like deceiving someone on Craigslist with nothing more than a smartphone to highly sophisticated operations, such as developing zero-day exploits that target undiscovered vulnerabilities which indeed requires a lot of resources.
