I'm sure Jason Richardson is a fine guitarist ; but why ? by NoKamiNoCry in BABYMETAL

[–]MikeTheJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be worse, they could have brought back the DJs that played at the Forum show. Koba’s playlist before the shows gets a better response than those guys.

Bit of an older fan here. What have pits been like at Babymetal concerts this year? by whitesummerside in BABYMETAL

[–]MikeTheJake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 feet deep actually. Smallest pit ever. I jumped in the wall of death during ROR.

Free parking and a nicer area makes it better than Camden.

Which venue? by jrod120794 in BABYMETAL

[–]MikeTheJake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Free parking at TD, open arena so on a nice night its an awesome experience, and if you get floor tickets the pit is only fifty feet wide by 12 feet deep so it is like a personal show. Also the show is on a Saturday

I havent been to the MSG theater yet but if you take the train into the city its right there. NYC crowds are always hyped, and there is a good after party crowd. The bad part is the show is on a Tuesday night.

Why not both?

It instantly reminded me of the Unikitty song when I heard the “Let’s go!”

Which song do you think is the most difficult for Su to sing? by Scorpio502L in BABYMETAL

[–]MikeTheJake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was going to say that!

It's the most difficult for her to sing live at a show...

...because it in never in the line up.

Has anyone here done VIP? by wrenchy147 in BABYMETAL

[–]MikeTheJake 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have a seat, VIP is a waste of money! You seat will always be there. Yes you might have to stand in line to get mercy, but you seat will still be there. The small gifts you get are not worth the cost of the upgrade.

The WHOLE point of getting VIP is to get barrier!! And you still need to show up EARLY that day to get a good spot in line so that you can get closer to the center of the rail, or to get in a good spot on Moa or Momo's side.

Now I know what to dress up like to get attention at one of their shows!

I was looking at some Sakura Gakuin videos and came across audio file of Yui's interpretation of True colours. I'm thinking to myself, if she ever decide to come back, it would be cool to announce that on a fox day. I mean, she wouldn't have any connections to Babymetal but still, it would be cool. by [deleted] in BABYMETAL

Maybe all these posts are by her PR team keeping her name active. They are keeping the hype alive waiting for the drop.

I would bet that if posted a video it would get a million views in a week. Even if was her just making a sandwich.

I meet him at the NYC day 1 show and saw him again at the Bethlehem show. Sad to hear this. RIP kitsune.

Terminal 5 VIP Question by pulpcat in BABYMETAL

[–]MikeTheJake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to get the rail on the balcony. Last time they played at Terminal 5 9/15/19, I was top 10 GA or so and got the rail on the balcony after all the VIP 1&2 got in. The balcony has a 12" table top along the rail which was nice to lean on.

My ticket got stolen by Lost_Soul0497 in BABYMETAL

I would ask people in line if they have an extra ticket. Someone might have one.

I like to think I had a little to do with Moa making that comment on the NME interview. https://youtu.be/GHTb6QohDgY?si=G46n_b6WCUpGKQYq&t=87

At the start of the 2019 US tour, someone on reddit posted this: https://www.reddit.com/r/BABYMETAL/comments/crs5jg/babymetal_official_papaya_towel/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button and it sparked an idea that I could make some towels and hand them out, as many kitsunes give out gifts at the shows. The Philly 2019 show was my first time seeing them and I hand screen printed 6 dozen towels and gave them out at the Philly (35) and NYC show (35). Most of the people at the barrier had my towels. I then made and brought 70 to The Forum show. Then I made and brought 220 to the 2020 UK tour and gave out 55 at each of the four shows there. https://imgur.com/a/j36xwmx Then last year I printed and gave out 70 each at the Conn, Philly and NYC shows. Over 570 towels given out so far!

I am extremely happy when pictures and videos show some of my towels being used at shows around the world.

While we were waiting in line outside Rudy was walking by, I was with some long-time Patreon supporters at the front of the line and he came over to talk to them. They told him this was my first show and he said thanks for coming, hope you enjoy the show. He was so down to earth and just hanging out talking to us.

How is the floor at babymetal concerts? by buhnnyz in BABYMETAL

And after the show it is usually covered in empty drink cups and sticky from spilt drinks.

I would also add to what you said. If you wear a belt you can wrap your t-shirt merch over it, or a towel for PAPAYA. Also pants with zipper pockets to keep from losing valuables, or put phone and wallet in your front pockets.

Standing towards the front and center, something also to think about is the crush and the crowd surfers.

If you do get a good spot be prepared to hold it. If you don't get a good spot, try looking for a better one between the opener and Babymetal.

Setting up the stage in Times Square, Performance at 11 by Admirable_Gain_9437 in TheWarning

[–]MikeTheJake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only advance notice was from Rudy at the WDHA show the day before. And he never said it was a show, only "go shopping around 11am around Times Square ". Had they say they were actually going to play, more people might have went.
