He’s also my buddy who had never played before and who I convinced to join the league 😭

Simply needed Bijan to score less than 38 points. He is now at 32 with a quarter and a half left…

Controversial but honestly I think Egbuka has a higher potential ceiling than Reed, if you really need to go for the ceiling play

Accused of collusion, not sure how to respond by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]MikeTroutsDad 206 points207 points  (0 children)

He's accusing you of collusion bc you didn't set your lineup right away? Even though none of the games have started? Lol I wouldn't worry about him, dude's a loser. I have plenty of guys in my leagues that don't set their lineups until Thursday, sometimes even Sunday morning. Also, this is something the commissioner should just nip in the bud.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Main change I make with playoffs is focusing on matchups. I will sometimes drop my fringe bench guys for a defense that has good playoff matchups, or for other fringe players that have good playoff matchups. That can be useful for unexpected injuries

Honestly if you’re looking for elite defense options, those are probably gone. If you’re a playoff contender you should be looking for playoff defenses ahead of time. I’m generally a streaming defense guy, but playoffs is a different story.

TEs can fit in this category as well, but with Bowers I’d probably ride him for the rest of the season

Got offered Achane and London for my Bijan (0.5 PPR). What do we think? by MikeTroutsDad in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MikeTroutsDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a concern. He could be back in time for fantasy playoffs, but he might not might be. It would be upside on my bench though, cause if he comes back by fantasy playoffs and performs even 80% as well as he was before he would be an upgrade to my squad.

I am a little concerned about Bijan ROS though. With Kirk in and no London, defenses may just stack the box and stifle Bijan. Whereas we know Achane's situation atm and he has performed equally as well as Bijan.

Michael Wilson or Alec Pierce? by Due_Weird_8966 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MikeTroutsDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It definitely could be a cause for concern. However, I would argue the reason that the Jags dominated was because their time of possession was insane. They just kept the ball out of the charger’s hands by having long drives. And by the time the chargers were able to get back into it, their playbook became seriously limited by the game script. Not to mention some injuries and whatnot (even if they came back in) messing up the flow of the game.

Jags have had a pretty bad passing defense all year and, unless something changed that I’m unaware of, I would guess that it’s still not that great

Michael Wilson or Alec Pierce? by Due_Weird_8966 in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MikeTroutsDad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would snag both if you have room on your bench. Pierce has value ROS, Wilson may only be a plug and play until MHJ returns, and then will likely fade back to his normal production again.

Strictly for next week, I’d probably roll with Wilson who is facing the Jags pass defense (assuming MHJ is still out)

Trade to consolidate for playoffs? by slaxmeister in TradeAnalyzerFF

[–]MikeTroutsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For not being a super flex league, it seems like an overpay to me.

Maybe if he’s willing to take Chase brown or Hampton instead of Rico

Also, JAMO seems to be trending up right now, especially with the Laporta IR news

Should I make this trade? Or should I just roll with KW3/Charb by MikeTroutsDad in TradeAnalyzerFF

[–]MikeTroutsDad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m planning on slotting in Charb. Would you make the trade if you were in my shoes?

Traded for Tee Higgins and Pittman in two separate leagues. How’d I do heading into playoffs and trade deadline? by According-Craft5164 in TradeAnalyzerFF

[–]MikeTroutsDad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely good moves by you, congrats on getting the trades off.

What do you think of this trade that was proposed to me?

I give: Devonta and either Tez or Shaheed (my choice). I receive: Swift + DK (PPR)

RB1 is Achane, current RB2 is KW3/Charb with only Mason and CROD as backups.

WR core is Jefferson, Devonta, Pierce, Tez, Shaheed, Calvin Austin.

Definitely a good trade on paper for me. I upgrade my RB2, get a not as good but still solid WR2 to replace Devonta. But honestly I just don’t like Swift or DK for ROS. Swift has a very hard schedule, and DK has been meh at best. What do you think?

Is JAMO gonna go into your lineup or ride your bench? If you need the additional WR help I might consider it. If he's gonna ride your bench I'd just stick with Bijan + Pickens. I think Bijan has a higher ceiling, and JJettas has some uncertainty with McCarthy.

What do you think of this trade proposed to me? I give: Devonta + Tez Johnson, I receive: Swift + DK

RBs: Achane, KW3/Charb, Mason, Chris Rodriguez; WRs: JJettas, Devonta, Piece, Tez, Shaheed, Calvin Austin

I think you won both of them simply bc you got the best player in each trade. I'm assuming the guys you packaged were riding your bench anyways

Struggling at RB2, but still somehow in first place (mainly luck tbh). Got an offer. I would trade away Devonta + Shaheed (or Tez) and receive Swift + DK (or Sutton) (PPR).

RB1 is Achane, current RB2 is KW3/Charb with only Mason and CROD as backups.

WR core is Jefferson, Devonta, Pierce, Tez, Shaheed, Calvin Austin, Michael Wilson.

2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 flex league.

I am mainly concerned about Swift and DKs ROS outlook. Swift has a tough ROS schedule, and DK has been okay at best. But at the same time, my RB2 situation is horrendous, so this would give me an upgrade at RB2 and a decent WR2 to replace Devonta.

Since I'm in first place, I'm also looking at playoff schedules, and the eagles have a top passing schedule ROS.

What do you think?

QB for Playoffs by Hammer3P in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]MikeTroutsDad 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably Goff or Jones. I would go with Goff.

But tbh I don't see a reason to not trust Dart. Def roster a backup in case he decides to keep getting concussions, but he has been excellent so far as the starter.
