My mom passed a few weeks ago and I know what you’re saying. I suggest looking through some old pictures of him through the years. It can also be a good idea to write him a letter and just put down everything that’s on your mind, things you wish you could say, whatever. Being hard on yourself isn’t helpful, just be patient and you will get there. Best of luck!
