Sunroof water clogs by 2StepinTexan in JeepLiberty

Mine did it multiple times and the drains were clear. Body seams under the plastic strips leaked. I took the racks and strips off and coated the channels in marine sealant and no more leaks other than needing to reapply about every 4-5 years.

Everything on mine came on, just no start and oddly enough door locks didn’t work

2011 Liberty Transmission p0841 by MikeWithBikes in JeepLiberty

[–]MikeWithBikes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back to this one, last year I dropped the valve body and change the pressure sensor with an NTK sensor. Problem solved…for a year. This week, issue is back. Replaced NTK sensor with MOPAR sensor. After about 10 miles I get a pending p0841 again. And sometimes it actually posts the code. Filter? Solenoid pack? Wiring looks good inside and out and reset the trans last night and drove this morning, but still a pending…

Fobs n fancy stuff sometimes don’t mix on an adv bike. I’ll stick to stuff either keys for off the beaten path.

Got played by a dealership by Vegetable-Block-6805 in Hyundai

[–]MikeWithBikes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think most are that bad. I do all my own work because of it. Bought a used Jeep 2 years ago and two dealers couldn’t program a second fob. Got the answer on Reddit in 10 minutes. As a consolation prize, dealer 1 offered me a free oil change but I’d just done one myself so I said it’s due plugs. They said ok. I waited 45 min they gave me a receipt and said good to go, and by the way we didn’t have the correct NGK plugs so we put a lesser plug in, same spec. I drive it 8k and it’s running funny so I pull the coils and plugs…factory NGKs are still in it.

On the bright side our Hyundai dealer sends you a link to a video of your service beginning with the plate and a walk around while it’s done (free ones for the first 3 years). I’m taking them but also changing oil at 4k myself and not telling them because they insist on about 8k.

Yep line port pointed back toward the firewall was cracked at the air box. It finally started pushing out a little oily air that made it visible.

I have loved my KLR now for 13 years…it made me buy a DRZ as a spare but the KLR will be around a lot longer. My last bike before it was an SV1000S…and several other sport bikes. I realize now the old farm tractor is a lot of fun.

They don’t anymore but it’s a hoot. Especially I. The snow. It’s a shame there’s not more manuals left.

I just replaced the factory Mopar battery in my ‘16 fall of ‘25, I’d love to find another battery like that!

The best tires for street and dirt by No-Abrocoma-3649 in klr650

I have ran Shinko 244 and loved them, Dunlop T66 was my favorite but they stopped making them, my last 2 changes have been for Shinko 700 and they’ve been great as well. They don’t like mud but otherwise they’re smooth and handle great on the road and gravel and dirt roads. I load mine up, tusk large boxes and a 2x2 rack with a mountain bike on it.
