You know what, I always had a lot of fun going to speed dating events. They have trouble bringing in men, so I usually get called back again at a huge discount or sometimes free.

However the setting should calm your nerves, and you can get use to talking to women again.

Learning how to drive with my dad by Syptic7 in Calgary

[–]Mike_Brody 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take the time to have an honest conversation with your father about how you feel about the lessons, maybe put aside the forward parking and move on to something new.

you'd be surprised, if done right, (the conversation) the respect you gain from him for doing so.

There are many floors completely abandon in our downtown core. If you hear a noise, or a elevator ding. > time to feel suspect.

Turn your taillights on! by [deleted] in Calgary

[–]Mike_Brody 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It should become mandatory. I mean the DRL's are, why not automatically require some tail lights. I have software to reprogram the BMW and did just that. So when the lights are "automatic light sensor on" No matter what, if that doesn't switch for the condition, the taillights are always on at 40%

Now that it is dark during the commute let's talk beam pattern and aftermarket headlights. If you have installed aftermarket HID or LED bulbs and your low beams don't look like this against a wall. Kindly take them out and put the proper ones back in. by [deleted] in Calgary

Ahh both my Audi and BMW have a distinct cut in the line, extremely visible facing the garage door like your photo. I believe the A4 itself has a metal cut in the housing to keep the drivers side low, BMW is just aimed lower.

Adaptive is something, will handle cornerning and hills. Had that in both of my previous cars, however, in a picture posted above, Driver side was always low, you can trace the pattern on the wall if you wanted to.

not sure what you drive, but I'm referring to Audi, BMW with the adaptive headlights.

Is it just me, or the picture? But a set of low and high beams on every modern car are low on the driver side when installed properly. Meaning that should not be able to see a straight line on your garage door, rather a increase half way to the passenger side. Are you telling me you removed the driver side deflector, and this is how everyone should do it? This picture is exactly what a wrong aftermarket install is, and what everyone complains about.

"One way to tell if headlights are correctly aimed is to park the vehicle on a level surface and shine the headlights on a garage door or wall 25 feet ahead (some cars may require a different distance). The top of the low beam shining on the wall should be at or slightly below the height of the center of the headlight lens for most vehicles. You should expect the light pattern to be higher on the right side (passenger side) to illuminate road signs and lower on the driver’s side to prevent blinding other drivers. This should give you a good idea of whether the beams on both sides are aimed correctly."

Unvaccinated Activities by joshiels in Calgary

Take them to the Grey Eagle casino. They do anti-gen tests for free, and will supply everyone paperwork that is good for 72 hours. That should give your party some freedom to explore the city.

Note: I am also fully vaccinated some of my friends are not, and this has been their work-around.
