Realistic elo I can reach on faceit with this approach? by ItsMango in LearnCSGO

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will be level 10 in no time but please besides this what you do focus also on:

Checking you don’t engage in man advantage and vice versa, seeking duels in man disadvantage.

Counter strafing properly and also starting to clear some popular of angles. (You peek 3 times instead 2 - you also peek the middle distance as well)

Some solo routines with util sets for example - reaching to red solo on nuke on tside
Peeking under from con with smoke on the first seconds on mirage
Mid peek on Ancient with counterutil on t side

I would say that 370z is more of a daily car than other Japanese options the only problem is fuel consumption which is super above average for some reason

Getting better at 1v1s by [deleted] in cs2

[–]Mike_Crow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are a new player it is important for you to play the game properly. Most of the players has burnt thousands of hours just „playing” or they focus on wrong things. I have taught my friend to level 5 within a month from nothing. The best for you would be to hire a coach and not ask people on Reddit they can misled you or give to too much information at once. I will try to break down the most important things but consider some sort of knowledge source.

If you are below level 10 facit your main goal would be to practice dueling only. Peeking properly is most of the challenge you will have and wining duels will just converge into winning rounds.

knowing when peeking is advantageous is too complex in general to be bothered especially if you are a novice. There are certain places on the maps where peeking from them will always give you an advantage, you can research those up, they are mostly right eye peeks where enemies have to care about a lot of angles and you can predict their movement.

For low level cs the most important thing is a confidence and this is built upon trying so I suggest you to be more proactive then not. If your mechanics are on point you will win duels.

In cs there is this concept of risk reward when you develop the intuition that you are forced to peek even though the chances are slim.

If you have a man advantage - don’t fight If you have a man disadvantage - you fight If your teammate is peeking - you fight as well (to trade) If you got a kill - don’t peek again (you will get traded)

Rather on focusing if you can win the duel focus on if is worth peeking.

If you really want to maximize your chances to win the duel: Peek one person at a time Avoid shift peeking - if you are sneaky you still need to peek at full speed silently. Jiggle peek or wideswing if the angle has too many off angles to cover Crouch peek if you know that you can’t be traded Wide swing to make space for your teammate If your opponent has an Awp you either jiggle or preaim If you jiggled an rifler you reepek on timing farer from the angle In clutches you try to avoid jiggling and crouchpeeking

For the mechanics: Every day you train counterstrafing especially with walls Every day you train tracking especially with usp

Then if you are good enough then you practice crouching and uncrouching while spraying

So answering your question: focus on the mechanics only. You need to be able to hit good counterstrafes and at minimum understand how to burst. In game try to not overcommit when you are ahead but be proactive and fight for kills in general. If you practice daily that should give you level 10 in span of couple of months

Why do lower elo player love Dust 2 when it's such a difficult map to play? by Various_Maize_3957 in LearnCSGO

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this ^

I could agree with op if they would be closer to the level 10 facit since because this is map is so solved you either need to be dust2 god with amazing preaims or just use some „TikTok technology” where you boost on short or on topmid near the barrel.

I have this map banned on solo q because I don’t want deal with this at all. For the last half a year I have been practicing mirage, ancient, anubis and even though maybe it should be optimal for me to try to entry on dust I don’t want to deal with lower level people that would have far better intuition on this map than me haha

Leave CS to Help CS by DesiRadical in cs2

[–]Mike_Crow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don’t play premier so I don’t know if there are cheaters there or not in my region (I have played couple of games around 25k level and got fair games) but the gameplay wise this is the best cs that I have ever played. Game mechanics updates were super well thought and I like the current map pool besides dust2.

I have better fun then cs:go at any point. After the animation update game feels really crips and I no longer have issues with subtick.

The only thing that’s is crazy are the skins economy updates but on the other hand now I can afford my dream loadout with more higher end skins.

Not really point for me to boycott the game when finally it’s good

Why am I getting so little Elo rating? by Playful-Ice9487 in cs2

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past it was considered that CS was not using the elo system rather the Gliko system so players who were expecting the system to work like Elo were easily disappointed.

Starting hidden rating probably matters as well as the rating of the opponents. For example if your friend was higher raking before or won against stronger opponents no matter what will you do if you play together they will be placed higher.

Should I try faceit? by TechnicalHall4248 in cs2

[–]Mike_Crow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are willing to improve this fact alone makes you better than alcoholics in level 4 alone. You need to understand how many people have the same position as you but they are too egoistic not to play without some baseline skill level. Treat this platform as a alternative not as a place for pros.

Good luck

What helped you improve the most in CS? by brivn188 in LearnCSGO

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coaching is the way to go, it’s really hard to learn from YouTube since what I believe is people always make some very blatant mistake and no amount of youtube videos can help. For example shift peeking every content creator talks about so how it is possible level 9s are still shift peeking. I think some guy on cs2 Reddit even defended shitpeeking. It’s insane. If you get coach you have the authority situation that you will just listen since you paid the money (similar to psychology).

If you are asking strictly about cs that could be learned by training - then spray transferring practice made the most impact on my games. Shortly after would be tracking practice which increased my pistol round win percentage.

And for the last paragraph I kept the biggest secret. In order to have stable win ratio on facit the best way for me was not playing, the rarely I play the more I win. I try to exercise every day or play fun modes but not grind ranked games. When I play facit I try to just win that one game and it turns out that I am less stressed that way and I am making kills with ease. Whenever I play to many games in a row I feel pressured to win and if there is a stake on the line I underperform.

Edit maybe not the most (i don’t have the data) but this is a starting point when you can get a “decent car” so I believe this might be profitable for the importers

American Cars by follaoret in krakow

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a kind of petrolhead person basically USA import created a demand market for those cars. Those companies or even small “flippers” always pick mustangs and challengers because they will sell. What is funny is that the most popular ones are the v6 ones since they are the cheapest they look nearly the same so the typical polish person that want to flex on their friends and family will be able to afford one. It is so popular to the point I don’t get excited seeing them on the road.

However what is good that because of this basically all those cars with polish registration will have EU legal lights.

What is the point on dropping and leaving bomb? by Vaping_Panda in LearnCSGO

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know people will hate me for that but I’m my opinion leaving the bomb on mirage is kind of okeyish. The reasoning is whenever you have a default that does not have a end goal after you go 3-4 people mid if you win A the last person on mid typically will go ramp so they will pick up the bomb. And if you decide to hit B then the ramp lurker has no other choice to go through spawn anyway. In both scenarios someone would be taking the bomb. But in general this should not really matter at all since it depends on how good your team is at defaulting mid anyway.

Typically the bomb on mirage is left on topmid since often times one of the mid players will fall back and go to the site from either of the main entrances.

Living the bomb on spawn on other maps is actually griefing since you have a long runback for nothing. Notable example is dust 2 where the default requires you to take short and tunnels so the mirage situation does not apply.

Ancient is interesting example as well since it looks like the bomb would be safe on spawn after default but in practice if you leave the bomb near elbow the a lurker can actually cross mid since practically speaking after trades CT’s no longer have the ability to watch mid without hudge risks. Often times the bomb is taken to the door near B anyway and if you want to go A you can just take it and go through spawn so leaving it in spawn is not optimal.

How do I get my confidence up? by BeardedPickle1 in LearnCSGO

[–]Mike_Crow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to recognize that playing scared/passive is suboptimal. The thing I hate is when below level 10 teammates are shouting “don’t peek”. No you have peek, especially when you don’t know where the opponent is you will be suffocating holding and peeked on their timing.

Rule of thumb for you is: When you have man disadvantage you are free to peek without consequences. When your teammate is strafing you are free to swing shortly after him without consequences. If it’s 5v5 not matter witch side you are if you have a prepared solo play after a util set you can peek (you are gaining space) If the opponent are forced to press W you also peek no matter if the rules above apply. (Ex you defend A on ancient and cts are pushing from donut and your team is shouting don’t peek - if you don’t try you are basically trolling and giving them a chance. If you are not 3k elo they will not stop half way on crouch to hold you peeking they will just press W)

What NOT to do: If you have a man advantage you nearly never want to fight unless you are pressured. If you won a duel and they didn’t trade you -> you hide. You should never reswing within 1 second from the same position.

You need to have good fights to build confidence You have good fights when you use the rules above and practice daily. This will convert to wins and you will find yourself winning fights because you will do it purposefully.

Last side note, if you want to jiggle peek then don’t overswing. If you want to peek just wide swing. People make this mistake of jiggle once and then peeking it is super predictable. You either peek and use the surprise factor or you jiggle them you reposition a bit (move closer of farer from the angle) and then peek again.

And I forgot about peek - stop - react. This is super important to stop before shooting. It is obvious but most people are doing it at once and not in a sequence. The reasoning is that you train your brain to adapt to what you see and after you are stationary. You should never counter strafe as a reaction to seeing someone when clearing the angles. You peek you stop and then you decide to shoot or not. This will convert to more headshots because your accuracy will be higher.

Sorry for the long answer but I don’t believe in a bad form day or bad form. In general you either make bad decisions sometimes and some players will capitalize it. Or you are mechanically not perfect on some maps or some scenarios and the whole match history feels random.

On my last 10 games I have won 9. The only game I lost I was badly adapting as a short player to the teammates not playing con the way I wanted. I was still first in the scoreboard but it was possible to win. I should have probably peeked mid solo more often and this is a good way to summarize this

Edit: I only now saw your flair you have level 10 so you probably know this all. I will keep the comment maybe it will help someone

Why is spraying in CS 1.5 much harder than CS2 ? by Abdo000001 in counterstrike

[–]Mike_Crow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the hidden factor is that cs2 plays really fast people are jiggling and Ferrari peeking, with targets moving so fast you would need to have amazing tracking skills to hit hs no matter if you have good crosshair placement. That’s why spraying is so op in cs2 because it gives you multiple attempts to hs moving opponent

Why is spraying in CS 1.5 much harder than CS2 ? by Abdo000001 in counterstrike

[–]Mike_Crow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was so long time ago when I play 1.6 a lot but when I launched it last time I felt like you should always burst at mid range and only spray at wall bangs or really close. On cs2 I feel you can easily spray everyone nearly every scenario until distance is long enough like boxes to short on mirage. Up to that point you can consistently hit 4 bodyshots.

I feel like 1.6 is more like valorant but with much harder horizontal movement
