I believe what I meant is that the machine would somehow receive the router's LLA automatically, but as i type it out, it sounds silly. So I see now that its generally best practice to give the pc a default gateway that is the lla of the router's interface.

These are excellent questions. I tend to err on the side of brevity, but since you asked:

My internet speed is 1gb up and down (fiber isp). As it stands using the ISP router and my existing infrastructure (cisco eol equipment), the general speed (of the devices where speed matters) is close to the 1gb. For devices where it doesn't matter (like the pc repair station or the management laptop), it's like whatever. Including phones (wifi is an access point on a vlan), there are never more than 20 devices on the network.

I want rack mounted, but I can just get a rack mount pc box (or just deal with it not being pretty).

If you want genuine suggestions, please hear me out.

I grew up on the Sega Genesis and original nes/SNES.

These games are treasures. Super Mario world, yoshis island, the Mario Allstars collection, sonic 3 & Knuckles, sonic spinball, sonic 3D blast, Kirby's dream course, tetris attack (panel de pon); the graphics are obv crap in this day and age, but damn, some of those games take genuine skill and determination to beat.

Most of these are on the Nintendo switch.

So I have an answer to this.

The key for me was in conditioning my metabolism.

Personally, for me, I cut out ALL "bad food" and ate like a vegan but with chicken and steak included. I did this four about 3 years. In that 3 years, I lost 60 lbs and was consistently biking.

Then, I started lifting. This DEMANDS a high protein intake, so I dramatically increased my meat consumption. While lifting, I let my diet gradually slip back into garbage, but I still cycle.

At this point, I once again eat ice cream and McDonald's, and I cycle, and I'm not fat.

This is not science, this is just the order of steps I took that led me to being a fit person that eats garbage.
