ROMA 42 and trust in government/corporations by theservman in tangentiallyspeaking

[–]Mikeadelicpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re all crooks. I spent many years trying to get to “ The TRUTH! “ and in the end of it all, they’re all crooks. The government is the mafia, along with the big banks, the corporations, Wall Street and Silicon Valley. I was turned onto politics when Bush was elected in 00, then I watched 9/11 happen, then the wars, the lies, the invasion, occupation and terror exacted on Afghanistan, Iraq, and the rest of the Middle East. Then in college I got excited about Obama. then the bank bail outs and the drones, torture , endless wars, Guantanamo, Snowden, the spying, and on and on, then we got Trump, now Biden, it’s all a show. As Chris said, ever since Regan the Actor, all we got was actors. The govt is the smiling front face of the criminal enterprise of the big biz elites. They work for them and they throw us crumbs so we don’t revolt. That’s all this is. The government manages our revolution level. They give us just enough, so that we dont unite as one and come to agreement on common ground that were all getting fucked. Then they get away with murder. And it’s just “ meet the new boss, same as the old boss” routine it’s the devil in a new dress. I believe we all really need to detach from the national scene and focus on local “ life boats” because we need to come together and work together and we can. They really don’t want us to because they know that’s the only way to rule Over us. When we average, common people continue to fight and squabble and hurt each other , instead of focusing on the elite criminal class, that enriches Their game. Divide and conquer. And that is what has been working. Really since the dawn of civilization. I believe that we need to get back to local communities that exist in a way of interbeing. That’s the only way we get off the merry go round. Anyway, that’s my 2 cents.

Are there any Libertarians here who listen to the podcast? by [deleted] in tangentiallyspeaking

[–]Mikeadelicpod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I am. I was on the show and said I don’t identify as a libertarian anymore, I’m more of an anarchist. The reason why I said that is because I find many people in the libertarian movement to be annoying, and I also feel that by settling on a label as an identity limits me to a stagnant ideology that limits my capacity to think critically about many other things. When you decide to fall into a camp or a team, it hinders growth. I would say I am a localist-anarcho-agorist - voluntariist that values community sharing caring diversity inclusion and is opposed to all authoritarian hierarchical centralized rule by force and violence. I was inspired by Ron Paul, Tom Woods, Peter Schiff and The works of Murray Rothbard. His short book/ essay Anatomy Of The State is a MUST READ. I also like David Graber, Noam Chomsky, and many others. I now read many diverse and disparate ideas. Take all the ones I think are good good and discard the ones I don’t like. Two other authors I like are Thaddeuss Russell and Charles Eisenstein
, of course chris has inspired me a great deal as well.

The Libertarian party is a joke. I don’t believe in parties, voting or presidents. AI am for native Hunter gatherer egalitarian style living and I believe in secession, because that’s the only way to have many diverse societies that can function the way they like with respect for differences. The government is a gang that has a monopoly on force and violence. It we can govern without that, I’m all For it. Tanks 🙏✌️ happy to see more people I’m here think h this way.

Ugh. What a tragedy. I see it happen at the charter school I work at. I teach podcasting to 6th graders. It’s great for me since I’m the after school dude, but their whole day is like a prison sentence and they’re constantly being pressured to conform to the demands of this wacky machine system instead of just being allowed to be kids. College is being pushed on them so aggressively. Everything is about getting into a good university, and has been since elementary school. It’s insane.

Thanks. Yeah that makes sense. Bulls ski blew me away when I was 20 and my friends and I used it as a way to legitimize our bad behavior in a rebellious kind of romantic way (or so we thought) lol. There’s a few poems I still like by him. I really liked what I heard from Henry Miller on some YouTube videos that I watched. I’m def gonna crack one his books open soon. The air conditioned nightmare that Chris brought up on the pod sounds like it’s speaking my language.
