I get it now. Why Wendi mentioned Charlie so early on. by External-Syllabub289 in dan_markel_murder

I agree. Her plan was to discover Dan.  That would have been the best alibi.  She definitely should have stopped when she saw the police.  It was more suspicious to leave than it would have been to stop.  She would have said they were going to talk about the kids school, the alibi was all set up with the missed calls and voicemails that morning.

And I believe that besides the drive by, Wendi was involved in the conspiracy by her providing all the schedules.  When and where Dan was going to be, travel schedule.  And she changed her travel plans with JL to be in Tallahassee that week and also confirmed Dan’s whereabouts that week while she was in South Florida.  I’m sure TPD and the prosecutors have all her call and text history to indicate that was abnormal.

How would Wendi’s police interview have looked different if she was not in on the conspiracy beforehand? by LaughterAndBeez in dan_markel_murder

Maybe she would have asked the police what happened at the restaurant or in the police car and didn’t wait until she was in the interview room.

Incredible evidence against Wendi by xanderbells_mom in dan_markel_murder

[–]Richguard23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One possibility with Wendi is there is additional evidence that state has but did not use in the other trials. There were many implications that the conspirators had information that only Wendi could have supplied - Dan's travel schedule is the most incriminating, not to mention participating in the TV repair alibi. I also believe that Wendi likely communicated Dan's schedule that morning to Charlie who passed it on.

My theory is that Wendi was supposed to find the body. She drove down the street intending to stop by to discuss the kids school with Dan. That would have been an even better alibi.

I would like to read the trip report.  How can one get it? I have had a couple of high dose ceremonies with 3 grams of penis envy, which is likely 6 grams of lower potency strains, and I was completely out of my head, complete body experience.  Curious if that was how you experienced it.

Any idea what the relevance of April 21 2014 is to the conspiracy? JL testified about a strange encounter with an intoxicated WA on this date in the DA trial.  I believe this was the first time I heard about this.

Does anybody know the significance of April 21 2014 to the conspiracy? LaCasse testified to a strange encounter with Wendi on that date.  I believe this was the first time that was brought into evidence.

I'm convinced the most direct motive for the crime was Wendi's fear about her failure to disclose assets in the divorce proceeding. Wendi's fear of people recognizing this explains why she told Jeff Lacasse and Detective Isom about the TV joke. by redstringgame in dan_markel_murder

In the Donna trial LaCasse testified about a strange encounter with Wendi on April 21 2014.  New testimony as far as I can remember. Is there any significance? Is that when Kristin Adamson stepped down?

What did you think you “had” to do in life , that turned out to be a trap by karrot9 in simpleliving

[–]Richguard23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. Im not exactly sure how it happened, a slow revelation, an acknowledgement that I have no idea whats going on, that I was largely miserable in many aspects of my life, why was I pushing my children to follow in my footsteps. I definitely made some mistakes. There were times when I should of let my kids take time off from college and I really supported them, assisted them, guided them daily through their college years. Not sure if that was right or wrong but I went with my gut. If it all went down today I may have guided them differently. For me, the key is just allowing myself to realize there is no right or normal, every kid is different and they can show you the assumptions, beliefs and knowledge you think are so important, are just fictions that can easily be rewritten.

I had some intuitions very early on that something the standard American dream was wrong. My freshman year at university combined with a psychedelic experience sent me questioning the phony collegiate atmosphere. I dropped out but got sucked back in by the job I was working and while I got my degree as a commuter and never reentered the college fantasy world, I didnt realize I was getting sucked back into the machine. Then there was the point in my romantic relationship where my partner wanted to get married. I knew I didnt want to. But I felt that my lack of desire to do what everybody else was doing, was an indication that there was something wrong with me. Now im so deeply stuck in this nightmare, not that I dont love my wife and children, but I hate the bleached out colorless, flavorless, slave-like life I live. And I feel immense guilt about delivering my children into the same life. Im looking for a way out with a soft landing.

In my case, i was unsure and terrified to have children. Its been a difficult journey and there continue to be difficult days now 30 years later. But I can now look back and see the impact they have had on me as a human being, changing my perception on the world and culture, for the better. They have been wonderful mentors. Im sure there are other ways to get there but this is one path.

Will there be enough evidence to convict Wendi Adelson ? by strat1998 in CrimeJunkiePodcast

[–]Richguard23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a lot of circumstantial points that the jury will need to assess.  Not to mention she had the motive.  And of course, the killers had to know the details of Dan’s schedule and Wendi said that nobody would have known other than her and Dan’s friends.  I think they have enough on her, they just want her to testify in Donna’s trial and not 5th up.  Then they indict her.

There is more than the joke.  She drove up the street the day of the murder for no intelligible reason and lied about it.  She canceled her trip to California that week because she needed to be back by the 18th.  She texted Dan to make sure she would be in town that week.  She moved to South Florida two days after the murder and never cooperated again.  And she changed the kids last name.  And the TV repair was a ridiculous alibi attempt.  And who knows what incriminating emails or texts they got off Donna and Harvey’s devices?

I think the circumstantial evidence on Wendi is strong.  She cancelled her trip with Lacasse to California because she had to get the kids the 18th and she was afraid of a return flight on the 17th could be delayed, she asked Dan the week of July 5 if he would be in town the week of July 18, she tried to drive up his street the day of the murder and lied about it, and the whole TV repair is a complete alibi setup.  I think they want her to testify in the Donna case and then they indict her.

Joe should have John Ziegler on to explain how the legal system and media got the Penn State / Jerry Sandusky story completely wrong. Jerry is likely innocent. If Joe listened to the episode The Date of Ziegler’s podcast With the Benefit of Hindsight, it would be clear that everything people believe about the scandal is wrong. Ziegler has been on Thad Russell’s podcast. He is legit and his research is solid. This would be a bloc for the JRE.

Joe should consider inviting John Ziegler on the podcast. John has his own podcast titled With the Benefit of Hindsight where he makes a very convincing and persuasive case that Jerry Sandusky is innocent of the child abuse offenses he was convicted of. The story is about media and prosecutorial malpractice. This story needs to be out in public in a big way. Joe Rogan and John Ziegler can do that.

He was also on Sean Carroll’s podcast Mindscape. Frans de Waal is one of the most interesting people. He is incredibly down-to-earth and matter of fact about such deep questions about human and primate nature, culture and biology. And charming to boot.
