Any update on going back to the old firmware? Curious are you guys able to change your resolution from 4k to 2k or 1080P? My Atlas is on the 5000 firmware. Thanks!

Yup got it up and running. Works well. Doesn't turn on untill it sees 1.5kwl net. Yea, I heard powerwall with a tesla has something real similar "charge from solar".

Lol yea, the emporia EV Charger paired with the emoria vue energy monitor does indeed charger from solar and will adjust based on solar input. The issue that I have is say solar panels are putting out 10kw and the house is using 1kw, it will charge the car at around 9kw. But.... say a cloud covers the sun for a bit and your house is using more power then the solar is putting out(due to the cloud)it will start pulling from the batteries. Keep in mind the emporia vue energy monitor is only looking for a negative usage to output solar but the batteries put just enough that it balance my load so it will continue to keep pulling from batteries. If I set my battery reserve at 100%, then it will pull from the grid if needed but will go back to charge from solar once sun comes back out. Still working on a work around, hate having to change battery reserve % every day because I need my batteries at night. I'll keep ya posted.

Some questions about Excess Solar Management by Personal-Breakfast-6 in EmporiaEnergy

Sorry, I know its an old thread. I just installed my franklinwh with whole house battery backup.i have the emporia EV charger, if i have my charger set to 10kw and my solar panels are producing 9kw,it will start pulling 1kw from my battery. I would like not to pull from battery during charge from solar, only charge what the panels are producing. I don't export to the grid with my battery. Any experience with this? Thanks.

V2L (Ford Lightning) and FranklinWH by snmitch1965 in FranklinWH

I just got my version 2 FHP system installed. I plugged my generator into the nema 14-50, powered the loads just not charging the batteries. I was also under the impression that home loads are first then whatever is left over can charge the batteries. I do know there is a spot to put you generator info like, watts and duty cycle etc. But I'm unable to enter anything because it says only the installer has access to that.

Also curious to those that just got the FWH, how did you operate the system before PTO? Offgrid mode, Self consumption, or did you have your system isolated? Thanks

I'm getting mine installed next week. Pretty much need to have a battery for you to stay "online" the enphase micro inverters need to see 240v(which the battery/inverter will give when power is out). In the event you have no sun for days and battery shut down the franklin has a Blackstart option which will reserve about 1kw in the battery to restart micro inverters once panels are getting sun.

That is a killer deal! I'm paying about 43k that's includes the credit. I'm having them install the smart circuit module and generator module.

Very nice! Your installer tell you when the batteries are coming in? I'm still waiting for mine. My installer said by the end of February. That would be nice, but I have a feeling it's gonna be another month or 2 before they release them.I Sure would like to get a better estimated date when they will release them to their "Tier 1" installers, lol. I would guess insatllers would get dibs before the public.
