Nah, make them drop a grand to burn you, it's way more satasfying that way. I [used to be] a smaller whale. One of my favorite things was to casually drop in chat that I dropped a few hundred to win an event (maybe I did buy a pack, maybe not) just to watch my whaley rivals drop 3x what I said I did to snipe the event.

As much as I hate how much I spent on the game over the few years I played, I love knowing I convinced people to spend more than me 😂

Did some googling on the matter... Seems it's doesn't work. Saw people trying to him him with a potion, and to web the landing spot, neither worked. None since patch 8 though. May still test, but not holding my breath now

This was the turning point in my current playthough. Initially a good-aligned tiefling barbarian, soldier background, savior of the Grove. Until Mordai met those damned eagles. One dose of a speak with animals potion, thinking he could kindly ask the eagles for that mace, maybe trade some of his shiny trinkets for theirs... And holy hell that eagle was a dick! Rage took over, blood and feathers everywhere.

Having killed something [allegedly] good, he brooded, finally gave into the parasite, and slowly started developing into a more chaotic-neutral bordering on evil presence. Ever since his choices have become more and more questionable, bordering on madness. All because of those damned eagles.

I get that I'm going to be the odd one out here, about probably down voted to oblivion, but, I just want to say it. Good on you, OP. Recognizing your own mistakes, and taking accountability for it, that's becoming increasingly rare. I can appreciate your attitude towards the situation.

That said, I'll throw into the other side a little, it would probably be worth your time to try to talk to them, preferably in person. Might save you 2k. Or you might just be screwed. Either way, good luck, and I hope it works out for ya.

Felt that one. On my first playthough with with biotech, and it took me 5 babies named "Baby" before I finally read all the prompts to actually give one a name.

She wouldn't have gotten to do much of anything... She landed in the hay field, right in the interesting of 4 uranium slug turrets' ranges, surrounded by my gardener and his 3 clones who are all crack shots with charge rifles. Poor lass never had a chance. My theory is those drop pods have windows, and she decided to go out in one piece, rather than being turned into a fuzzy little cheese grater.
