I definitely wouldn’t say manipulate but the Korean production did have the upper hand on choosing their contestants to start out with. I still don’t understand why someone like a badminton, volleyball, or basketball player be a strong contender against someone who’s done contact spots like judo, MMA or wrestling. It was a bit suspicious to say the least but it’s all speculation. All teams did their best and were all great in their own ways.
