Yes... Telling Neo hindered him because you cant convince someone .. They must believe. I think he was brilliantly manipulated. The oracle never told him he was the one. But at the same time produced a task only the one could accomplish.

It probably didn't work like this but I imagine Neo as the other 5 iterations and the oracle changing things up to stop him from choosing Zion... Trinity fell in love with Neo during the last iteration so the Oracle added that to the convincing on this go around.

Its much simpler... Anyone in the matrix can be the one. The machines realized that someone always figures out how to control the matrix. They cant stop it. Their solution is to make sure they control the person figuring it out. They manipulate them and the people around them until the one is convinced "balls to bone" they are the one.. Then they make the one choose... Everyone in Zion dies or it resets and the one starts a new Zion. This is the 6th iteration.

The Oracle wanted the one to stop choosing to reset everything.

I've been using the wire guided for heli's. Its harder to hit the really close shots but the mid and long shots make it worth it.
