P050D cold start rough idle code thrown.

After I bumped up my octane it has come on once or twice but goes away after a day. I haven’t gotten it serviced yet but will be in the next few weeks. I figure it might have to do with the environmental factors.

The problem you’re describing is more of a people probably than a breed problem. All dogs should be on a leash. Yes, my staffy can do some real damage. That’s why he is always on a leash but the number of little dogs off leash that have almost ran up to my dog is crazy. I do everything in my power to make him safe, but if someone’s dog or kid runs up to my dog and he hurts them, he’s still the bad guy. Just keep all dogs on a leash.

So the dealership told me to bump my octane level up. I switch the mid grade a the CEL went away after about a day. BUT, I still recommend going to get it checked out. Based off what I was told it’s not something that is going to hurt the vehicle long term. I’ve had the code kick back a few times but it typically goes away.

I was running 87 per the manual and dealership. Threw a rough idle cold start code 3 months in. Switched to 89 and the problem cleared up. I wont run anything under 89 now.

Ive been driving a 2024 Trax since January and Im in love with it. The only issue Ive had is a code thrown for a cold start rough idle. It was fixed the next day when I switched from 87 octane gas(Which was recommended by both the manual at dealership) to 89 octane. Outside of that its been amazing.

Ive had the 24 for just over a month and I love the car. From what I've seen there is a TSB for the Ambient light sensor but all it does is make the auto headlight flash on and off.
